A few weeks ago we watched a steady stream of people headed to Sushi Sen from a restaurant next door. We finally had a chance to try and we’re not disappointed! High quality food at a reasonable price. Great selection of rolls, nigiri, sashimi and fresh seafood options. Also a regular menu of meals. The spicy options are not too spicy. The wasabi and ginger sides were a little meh, but will definitely be back.

The food is really good, we had the $22 combo, I loved it, cause I got to try everything! The tuna was so good it melt in your mouth. The tempura was also very good, crunch outside juicy inside. The sushi roll was very good, big piece of salmon and avocado inside.

Every dish is pretty solid. Beef tongue stew and Dynamite bake are unique and amazing. Pork Katsu don looks really legit as it should be in Japan and quite big in size. Sushi, nigiri and sashimi are all of impressive quality since Phoenix is not coastal. Dishes are served very fast, which is also a plus.

I’ve been coming here since 2019. I used to live walking distance from here. Even though I live 45 minutes away I still come here! That alone tells you how good the place is! This place was recommended to me by someone I met from Japan, who lives here now. The food was 100% Amazing and authentic. I felt like walking in restaurant I was experiencing a piece of what Japan may feel like. Fish was so fresh, the best spicy tuna roll I’ve had here in AZ. I loved their house sake . Just a really nice place to enjoy really delicious and fresh food. Food was reasonably priced. I had their bento box and for $24 I was really surprised how much food I was served!! I will definitely be back . Only negative is now I tasted what real Japanese food should taste like and really raised my standard of expectations. Will be hard to go anywhere else now.
