This place is easy access from the highway. The food was really good unfortunately the service was a little slower than I was expecting the had 1 chef and one waitress maybe because we were there at 4:30 I’m not sure. All the sushi was delicious and the pineapple at the end a great surprise and finish all in all l would give them another try perhaps a little later in the day.

The food was excellent! I think the dining room needs an update. While waiting for our sushi, we started looking around where we were sitting and noticed the dirty walls and cracks, which isn’t appealing when you’re in a restaurant. It was poor lighting and from the outside did not look open. However, the food was yummy. It’s like a hole in the wall kinda place. Rolls we had: Sunset, Jalapeño Crunch, Mexican, Spicy Tuna Crunch, Volcano, and Salmon Sashimi.

Wow so amazing! This is the best sushi I’ve has in IL so far. Moved here from out of state a few months ago. The flavors and presentation were both amazing. And we even received a free pineapple boat at the end of our meal. Been looking for a good sushi place in the area and will definitely be visiting again. If you like eel the eel nigiri is so delicious.

Went for the first time, met with an old friend and we both love sushi. We went first thing when they opened, we were the only ones there and the floor was dirty under the table we sat at. Obviously hadn’t been cleaned from the night before. Waitress was nice and let us be as we talked for hours, we were never rushed. Sushi was really good and well presented and the pineapple boat at the end was a nice touch. But due to the dirty floors I wouldn’t be back, too many other options in the area.

Sushi Tatsu offers the best sushi in Belleville, Fairview Heights, Swansea, O’Fallon, and St. Louis- hands down. Not only is their sushi better than any other restaurant in the area, but the rolls are almost double the size of any other restaurnant’s rolls and for the same price!
