very small place with a very small menu. come here if you know what you like and are looking for basic rolls and basic nigiri. do not come here if you are expecting a fancy experience or a ton of options. not good for large parties, very good for small parties.

Late night dinner. Decided to try this place and I fell in love with it! We sat at the booth and was greeted immediately! Ordered Miso soup as an appetizer and I ordered to different type of rolls. Which were the Hawaiian Roll #1 and the New York. Miso soup was served literally 8 minutes after I had placed it. Rolls did take about an hour to serve. However, it was worth the wait they were presented perfectly and had an awesome fresh taste.

Sushi Zone is one of my favorite sushi places in San Francisco! The owners are so friendly and the food is absolutely superb! I have waited for over an hour to eat here on multiple occasions; it is definitely worth the wait!

This is a pretty small store with not much indoor seating and only a bit more outdoor seating. The service is good though. You can order lots of sushi rolls and nigiri, etc, which are all quite solid. The baked muscles were really good.

The sushi was wonderfully presented and it was clear the chef was extremely skilled. However, they need more than one chef for the size of their clientele. It was 1.5 hours before I was seated and another 45mins before I was served. If they aren’t in the place to hire a second chef, then perhaps installing a sushi train would be better

A little bit too expensive for being so crowded at openings and only accept cash, a couple of years ago was better I thought. The rolls we’re excellent, but just it

I really hope my experience was just an off night, but the salmon nigiri here was horrendous and I had to spit it out. The fish was tough and almost crunchy like eating cartilage, and it had a fishy old smell. The mango salmon roll was delicious, sweet, and tender in comparison so I am just hoping the salmon nigiri was a mistake – but a terrible mistake for my first experience here. That salmon nigiri was legitimately worse than grocery store sushi which was a real shocker to me. My friends also had a piece of salmon nigiri in their orders and said the same thing, but ate it anyway.

Great quality sashimi and big portions at an affordable price. What’s not to like?! The wait can be long though, so plan accordingly.

My favorite sushi in the city. Don’t miss the mussel appetizers, too — comforting and creative combinations.

This place used to serve generously portioned nigiri sushi and maki rolls and seriously delicious sushi. This restaurant was staple for me even with the price increase by 30-35% after the new owner took over. I’ve been a devoted customer for 15 years. However some months ago this year, they started skimping on the size of the sushi – The fish on top of the Negri sushi is 30% smaller than it used to be, in the maki rolls are 40% smaller than it used to be. Earlier this year, we left feeling full after spending $110 for 2 people , and today we left hungry after spending $130 for 2.
