Avedon Arcade
A pretty classy place for such a stripped down area on Santa Monica. The sushi is definitely of quality though it could be better. The market price on some of these cuts seem premium yet the fish not so much. I got the Toro and it was just too chewy with nerves. Was the most disappointing of the bunch but the rest of the sushi was delicious.

My husband and I came for dinner on a Saturday night and the sushi was INCREDIBLE! We sat at the bar and the sushi chef was so skilled but also personable. They have a parking lot in the back and a great happy hour. Highly recommend coming here for lunch dinner or even take out! We will definitely be back. The rice to fish ratio was absolute perfection

I went for the evening happy hour, and everything was wonderful! The yellowtail sashimi was the freshest I’ve had in a long time (3 pieces total – took a photo after I ate one piece). I also ordered the baked salmon roll, the spicy albacore roll, and the chef gave me a free dessert 🙂 The atmosphere was quiet but the music was good, and the service was excellent. Definitely going to be back!

Sushi could be improved a bit more. The combination of cream cheese and carrots in a baked salmon roll was just not a good combination. I also ordered the tempura fried ice cream, it was okay, kind of soggy. As for the customer service, it could be improved a bit more.I saw the servers having a drink with a customer while on the clock.

This is my favorite place to go for sushi! The staff is really friendly and helpful. I am vegan and I’ve always felt taken care of with recommendations and even a few special treats from Chef. All the friends we’ve taken here loved it as well, definitely recommended! We’ve become regulars it’s always so good.

For 9 years living in LA I tried with my wife many of sushi restaurants but this one just recently opened 2 blocks away from my apartment is above and beyond starting when we entered the restaurant. First of all my 4 years old daughter finished all kid’s meals!!! All rolls are so fresh and delicious Excellent service. Moscow quality of sushi and free parking at Jone’s

I am so happy this location opened! My 1st 10 years in LA were in Studio City on sushi row. I was introduced to sushi via rolls with all the good sauces and pretty art. I’ve lived in Hollywood the last 12 years eating sushi. And while there’s some decent sushi and sashimi, the rolls over here are not like valley sushi. Until now! The new SD location is gorgeous. It’s in an up and coming spot on Santa Monica blvd & Hobart. I’ve been twice so far. Let it Be roll – must. Hot Night 2 – gimme more. I’ve also tried the OMG, which is what I said with the 1st bite. It’s everything but the kitchen sink. I struggled finishing it, but did, bc it’s yummy. I can’t wait to go back. Bryan is the sweetest server on the planet. Oh, just look at the radish butterfly on top of the hot night 2 roll ❤.
