One of the best Japanese restaurants I have visited! Service is great and the food is even better! You’ve got to try the Tempura and the Beef is outstanding! The sushi is fabulous! A little pricey, but fantastic food quality. A hidden Gem !!

This is one of the best sushi places in Williamsburg, Virginia. The folks here are super nice. The sushi is fresh and delicious The rolls are huge (at least the ones we ordered but I’m not complaining!) and may be hard to fit in your mouth so beware! We wanted an early dinner so we came as soon as they opened. Make sure you check their schedule because they close after lunch then open up again for dinner. We also ordered their fried rice and yakisoba and those were yummy as well. We are fortunate that this place is away from “restaurant row” and near most neighborhoods in the Jamestown area.

If I could give them no stars I would. This place is NOT cheap, and for the cost, I expect good sushi. This was our takeout sushi, $85…. This has happened multiple times, the rolls are THROWN together in such a hot mess. It’s horrible. Such a waste of money. Never again

Very kind staff. Delicious sushi and hibachi. My favorite was the firecracker roll. We also loved the strawberry mochi, but the dough around the matcha mochi was a bit dry and hard to chew. We ended up opening them up and eating the ice cream out of the inside. We will definitely visit again next time we’re in Williamsburg!

Some unique items in their menu. Everything we had tasted really good but they were out of some of the items on their menu that we wanted to try. If they have it try the habanero tuna, really good.

My husband thoroughly enjoyed his 18 piece chef’s choice!! He was amazed at the freshness and size of the fish slices. We also enjoyed 2 other rolls and calamari.

Amazing little restaurant serving some pretty decent sushi. The tuna was the most tender tuna I have ever had! Service was great and the sake was amazing.

Service was horrible (go to Miyaki on Richmond road instead). I went today for dinner. When I arrived there was a family in front of me that was being seated. I was waiting the hostess to come back and either seat me or tell how long the wait was. Another family walked in as she was approaching me stating they had a reservation. So hostess completely disregarded me and seated them. I asked if I could atleast place a Togo order and her response “can’t you see we are busy come back in 20 mins”. I laughed and walked out. Will never go back.

I’ve had sushi from a lot of restaurants. Sushiya is by far the best place I’ve ever been. Every time my wife and I go elsewhere it just doesn’t compare. We love coming here, the staff are half the reason we love it. They are always super nice and great to talk with. We’d eat here weekly if money wasn’t a problem.
