If you like classic American and good prices, this is the place. The outside is dated but don’t let it fool you, the food is fresh and owners are friendly. GET THE FRIED GREEN TOMATOES. The green beans and pinto beans are seasoned well and fried flounder not to greasy.

The French fries were excellent in spite of the seasoned salt added after cooked. The fish looked crispy but I could not eat it and the turnip greens had a peculiar taste could not continue to eat so ordered the fries and let it go.

We stopped by Susie’s Restaurant on our way to Mawphlang. The restaurant is at Mawkriah just before reaching Mawngap. I must say while on your to Mawphlang, if you are not stopping by, you are definitely missing something delicious. We opted for Chicken Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Meatballs, and Schnitzel and each and every item was heavenly and finger licking. Thanks to my local friend Karikor who suggested us to have our lunch here. THough we wanted to try out Gryos, but they were out of stock that day.

Stopped here on impulse as I was headed to a different restaurant. Wasn’t busy and inside looked relatively new. Seat yourself place with one person working the floor. The breakfast menu is diner standard, nothing to set it apart from a dozen others in town. The food was fine, had eggs, grits and country ham. The staff was not friendly, they weren’t unfriendly either more like ambivalent. There was one other table occupied when I got there and when they left one of them yelled back to the kitchen to tell Susie goodbye so they have regulars already. My experience may have been atypical but for me it was a solid 3 stars.

I work here and everyone loves the food and most enjoy the atmosphere of the resturant as well, we have a variety of meats and veggies for lunch and dinner and also an amazing breakfast menu thats simple but delicious! 🙂

A nice hot breakfast! The portions were plenty and decent service although short handed. My wife had two eggs with Livermush, cooked perfectly. I had steak and eggs cooked perfectly. Definetly a regular stop for our family.
