First time visiting, we wanted seafood/fish and decided to try this place. Little dated and needing some help aesthetically, but the server at the counter was nice and friendly. Fish was good. Had whole and filets. Wholes could have been a bit bigger for the price, and one one big complaint, NO TAILS. A good crispy fried tail off of a catfish is yummy. Overall, nice place, and would go back again sometime.

Inflation sucks. I loved their catfish since I was a kid. They have the best tartar sauce. But the price you’re having to pay now is just ridiculous and the fish seems smaller. It’s especially annoying that you absolutely have to order a plate instead of ordering pieces of fish by itself. You can, but you’ll be charged the price of a plate.

The fries taste like fish. But the wait is ridiculously LONG. With ONE car in front of me at the drive thru the wait was 20 minutes long! Poor customer service..because how you going to have customers wait 20 minutes and still charge them for just 2 extra tartar sauces. I watched to cars pull up behind me and both drove off.

Seemed very pricey for what you get. Got the dinner to go and literally only had 8 seasoned fries. Hadn’t been in years, but use to love it. Not sure if it’s changed owners or management, but definitely won’t be going back anytime soon, if ever. Too many better options to drive that far and get child size portions at that price. Most places I have a lot of leftovers, but I ate it all and was still hungry. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

To start with swamp johns is going more down hill every time we eat there. Today and every time I get fish tacos the shells are so had and chewy I throw away 3/4’s of it, no spicy slaw no potato chips and this is about a hour after the open! That is it for me!!

The catfish lunch plate was good, I was disappointed that it only came w/1 tiny hushpuppy. Husband enjoyed the shrimp taco lunch plate. The piece of caramel cake that looked so good, wasn’t. The cake was dry and stale, the icing was okay, not great. Won’t be ordering it again, it’s $2.17, reasonable price, if it had been good.
