SMR is a true 5 star (15 out of a possible 15 stars). This is my new go-to spot for Shirmp Tacos and Gumbo (easy top 5). Let’s start with Charity, our waitress. Charity was awesome she recommended two items and answered all our questions on the other items. The wife and I were in town for an in and out business. We had the Cajun Cigars, Shrimp Tacos, Jolie Fries, and Peanut Butter Cheese Cake. After eating most of our lunch, the owner, Antonio, comes out and tells us about the food and shares some new menu items. When in Franklinton, put Swamp Monster Restaurant (SMR) at the top of the bucket list.

If you can call ahead or check their busiest times. The monster burger& Fries were great. The gumbo makes you want more, like the crab & corn bisque, shrimp& corn bisque will. And don’t even get me started on the cheese cakes!!! Really doesn’t matter, take your appetite though, you’re gonna need it!!!

Took a little while to be seated but the place was packed. The wait was definitely worth it everything I ate was amazing from the crab and corn bisque to the Jolie fries which is what I ordered and the cajun cigars it was all delectable will definitely be returning to eat here again 11out of 10!

We live out of state and are staying down the road from here. Looking for a local place to try and came across Swamp Monster. It had great reviews, so we decided to check it out! It was hands down the best food that I’ve had at a restaurant in a long time!!! All of my family would agree! We ordered a variety of things from the menu. Everything was excellent, including their amazing homemade desserts!! We were a larger party and the staff was super friendly and very accommodating! 10 out of 10 recommend!!!! Thank you for the great customer service, outright friendliness, and awesome food!!!

Just ate there with family for 1st time and it was great. Atmosphere was very interesting and nice. Service was very prompt and attentive. Food was excellent we had the Swamp monster burger, swamp burger and the bbq shrimp poboy, Jolie fries as appetizer. Everyone loved the food we WILL be back and highly recommend you try them. Met the owner, he is very social and friendly. Sorry no pictures just go and check them out very casual, only open Thurs- Sat.

Service was fast and very friendly waitress. The owner came out to be sure I would be happy with the sauteed shrimp poboy I ordered. He said he makes it a little different, and that if I didn’t like it he’d make me something else. It was absolutely delicious. Our table also had the Swamp Monster burger and a hot sausage poboy. Everything was delicious!!!
