Welcome to Swampfire Backwoods Bistro, at Newell Lodge & Resort. We’re a small family owned and operated restaurant that offers elegant, relaxed dining.

Located at the heart of a beautiful 300 year oak grove, you’ll find our setting is perfect for before and after dinner strolls, firefly spotting, and games of hide and seek with the little ones.

It’s oak that gives our sizzling, Grade A ribeye steaks an unmistakable, mouthwatering local flavor. We serve them with fresh seafood and all the trimmings.

We keep the menu simple and the quality high. Always steak and seafood, but with different, delicious presentations every week.

Don’t let the lack of reviews throw you off. This local gem is full of great food, friendly people, and amazing ambiance. Highly recommend the ribeye dinner and peach tea. Bonus points go to the fried banana peppers!
