This was our first time at Sweatman’s. The Rib dinner was incredible. The biggest surprise was the mustard BBQ sauce. We loved it so much that we bought two bottles. The Hash and rice had great flavor and we left with a quart of banana pudding.

Been wantin to try Sweatman’s BBQ out for years but just never find myself in the Holly Hill area. Well finally made some time and headed over there with the parents and were waiting out front when they opened the door. Got the pulled pork plate with a side of hash an rice and mac n cheese. Hash (my favorite part of SC BBQ) was absolutely delicious. Sweet tastin with that tangy tomato flavor you usually find in this part of SC. Pulled pork was juicy and tender and bursting with flavor. The old man got the whole bbq chicken and that thing was slappin as well. If you are lookin for a big helpin of authentic tradtional SC BBQ at a good price this is a great place to come to. Got me a t-shirt and a bottle of sauce (mustard of course) for the road. Will return!

Excellent South Carolina smokehouse. The whole pig is smoked here. Most places do not take the time an effort to smoke an entire pig any more. Fantastic pig and great sides. Excellent service. Pleasant atmosphere. Beautiful location out in the country.

This place was recommended, but this was not at all what we expected the BBQ was not at all a good taste. You can taste it was cooked on a gas grill, no BBQ taste at all and the table sauces weren’t hitting on nothing either.I can say their green beans were very good and flavorful and the cole slaw was good. I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a true BBQ experience.

Arrived on Saturday around 1, after the lunch crowd. No long wait to order or for the food to land on our table. Had the half rack of ribs, hubs had pulled pork plate & we took chicken to go. One thing I love about Sweatman’s is that the rib meat has the perfect amount of chew. It is not at all mushy.

Delicious bbq pork! You walk in, order at the registers (let them know you want to dine in) and go find a seat. Best pork ribs I’ve had and the mustard bbq sauce is delicious.

It’s hard to review BBQ. Taste is subjective. This is a destination experience. Cool venue. The food is good but I’m a Charleston girl that compares everything to Robert’s BBQ for mustard base and Lewis’ BBQ for the tastiest ribs and brisket. Recommend everyone try it and then try Robert’s $$ and Lewis’ $$$$.

The food is great. Wish they still had all you can eat. I would take the drive more often if they did. They really do have some of the best bbq. Mac and cheese was dry today normally it’s good.
