The only “complaint” is that the food was soooo good, we didn’t have nearly as many leftovers as we wanted (and the portions were huge!) Thank you so much, Lou & team! If you are looking for a catering service you need to know that Sweet Lou’s food is AMAZING and the cost is very reasonable! We are so glad we we found Sweet Lou to cater our party! We were able to make all the arrangements over the phone. The food was delivered promptly and everything was set up and ready as our guests arrived. I am beyond thankful that I found Lou. She did a big order (breakfast and dinner) for us when we hosted a house-full of guests. It was a lifesaver. The food is amazing, the service and presentation is top-notch and the “staff” (Lou and her husband) were just fantastic to work with. SLTW is our new go-to for making large gatherings easy and delicious. This might be Michigan City’s best kept secret, but really – CALL SWEET LOU! It’s truly a gem.

The homemade meatballs are to die for and I was amazed at how delicious the coleslaw was. Every year we have our Big Book study at Red mill, we absolutely uses her service. I’m planning 2 events coming up and I will definitely pick items from her menu, if it ain’t broke don’t try to fix it LOL. AND she’s sweet as pie, and her staff are so professional.

Italian Beef was amazing! Great portions. The onion rings and the home fries were fantastic too. Chips and salsa are a must. Then there is the homemade ice cream! This place is a gem! All of the staff working were excellent and very kind. Well worth exiting the Toll Road.

I loved the food at sweet Lou’s. I was disappointed when they closed. Today on the 23rd of January. While my wife, my 13 year old niece and myself where out riding we saw a building with a sweet Lou’s sign on it. It wasn’t closed off. So we pulled up to see what it was and a plow driver. Clearly a friend of the owner. Nearly backed into our jeep, almost forcing us into a ditch. Because he assumed we were making a drug deal. That ignorant. In this day and age. That’s a lethal mistake. You definitely lost my business.
