I’m going to limit coming here. I love the food tremendously and it’s always presentable. However whenever I do come in, the cooks are extremely off. I’m very observant where I go. Firstly to have Hispanics cooking up southern food is interesting nonetheless the food is probably already prepped. 99% of the time I come to pick up they’re looking at the customers smirking and snickering to eachother. Like literally. I wanted to ask the clerks at the front how it is back there but I wouldn’t think they’ll be honest. It’s very suspicious how they watch people picking up their food and snickering and smirking The food is amazing but the vibe they give makes me question my trust of the food they hand me. Y’all should look into this.

One of my favorites, if not my #1 favorite soul food restaurant. I wish the establishment will one day expand the size. It is a very small in size, and only seats 12-15 people tops, and that would make it tight in there. The small side is more for takeout. I have been on the bigger side for Sunday brunch. Love the jazz band, and the full buffet. Today in particular, my mother said let’s go out to eat. I really wanted her to try this restaurant. Her stomach is very sensitive, and can’t eat certain things. I just wish the waitress was a little bit more patient, and not so fast to catch an attitude, when trying to order the food the way she likes it . Overall, my mother enjoyed the food as well. She loved her extra crispy chicken and she enjoyed the the Sweet Potatoe Fries as well. I liked the Seafood Delight, but was a huge fan of the crab cakes. It was just okay. The string beans had that extra kick to it. The Mac & Cheese was/is my favorite side dish. Delicious!

I haven’t had Sweet Potatoes in over 8 years & I remember why. The cornbread tasted too sweet and didn’t taste homemade. The catfish was okay but didn’t taste seasoned. The Mac and cheese was good but the collard greens tasted sweet. I don’t like sweet greens. Food was packaged well.
