The story of Sweet Sicily has its roots in Palermo, where Saverio D’Anna’s father opened the Albatros bakery, one of the most famous places in the city where to taste typical Sicilian Rosticceria and desserts. Saverio followed his father’s path, took over the management of the bakery, and then decided to fly overseas with his family to pursue a new adventure. After successfully running his Bakery in Gilroy with his wife Daniela and his son Antonio for four years, he joined a new partnership with Cinzia, his sister-in-law and her husband Salvo opening a second shop together, Sweet Sicily Restaurant. Located in downtown Sunnyvale, Sweet Sicily Restaurant offers a wide choice of traditional Italian dishes.

My go to Italian restaurant. I have been here many times with my family and the Mayor of Fremont. The food here is very tasty and fresh. The pizzas smell and taste great. All their pasta dishes are excellent. Their fettuccine dish is made the traditional Italian way and tastes better than just about any other restaurant in the Bay Area. There is a nearby parking structure. Prices are on the moderate to slightly higher end. First rate some selection that staff knows really well for suggestions. Very friendly and helpful staff. The owner works very hard to make sure everything is too your satisfaction. A huge selection of desserts that are on display and you can purchase to take home. Highly recommended.

Great flavor which were rich and deep. I don’t know much about cooking but I would guess all the ingredients are fresh. Service staff was really nice and fast despite being moderately busy. Price tag was above average but definitely not a scam so I would recommend for a special date night or important meeting but not a quick lunch in. Serving size was good I didn’t eat anything all day and I’m full I can still taste the flavor so it’s def a good meal.

Spent a lovely afternoon there with friends to celebrate a landmark birthday. I’d never been there and am very happy to have been introduced to Sweet Sicily. Good food, excellent service, easy parking. The place is very clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. Our little group agreed we will do it again next time we have something to celebrate and, next time, we’ll save room for dessert.

I decided to try this place out last night and was quite pleasantly surprised. my friends ordered an appetizer that looked delicious. The cocktails were nice and our meals were delicious. My friend raved about her ravioli and the pizza was definitely something we will order again. Our waiter was fabulous too extremely attentive. They’re also on the end of Murphy so it wasn’t as crowded and it felt much safer to eat at.
