Loved eating here. Nice laid back atmosphere and really good bbq! The server was very helpful and suggested many things this diabetic girl could eat. Settled on the tacos that featured pork, beef and chicken all perfectly cooked and still juicy as good bbq should be. I loved the fact that they offered a side of fruit which was also perfectly ripe.

Visited the capital area for work and decided to try Sweet Smoke! The food was amazing and Eugene made us quickly feel welcomed. He provided us with a sample of the grits and made great recommendations off the menu! Will definitely be back the next time I am in town!

When we got there at 230pm, there wasn’t any chicken left. I dont eat beef or pork, so I had to settle for the Turkey sandwich. There was nothing spectacular about it, and my mother got the pulled pork sandwich. The only thing pulled about the pork was, it was pulled from the pig. The cole slaw was good. There wasn’t anything but meat and bun. I wouldn’t recommend.

The *BEST* BBQ I have ever had! Eugene talked us into the grits, a crowd favorite. I loved everything from the smoked sausage to the pickled apples! 10/10 will be coming back here on every work trip to Jefferson City!

Education is important, but BBQ is more importanter! We have found a new place to hang our barbecue hat. The ribs are absolutely amazing and the burnt answers out of this world. The jalapeño cheddar grits is a fresh tan and old classic. Their green beans are spicy and full of meat. They specialize in pickled apples. Are you kidding me? They’re fantastic. It takes about a half hour to get here but it’s worth the drive every time. Service is great and he’s amazing and the choice of sauces is the rainbow of different types of sauces that you can find throughout the US.

This is hands down one of the best barbecue places I have ever been to in my life. The location is so cute, the music is great, and the food was AMAZING. I got the I Love Texas Tacos, and they were probably some of the best tacos and the best barbecue I’ve ever eaten. Also, the service was really fast! They have plenty of gluten free options, including the fries, all the meats, and all the sauces.

If you are in Jeff City and you like BBQ, this is an absolute must visit. From the friendly staff (thanks Eugene), to the simple/comfortable atmosphere, to the food (brisket was amazing), and the sauce, this place is excellent. I had the Alabama Brisket sandwich and jalapeño grits – absolutely 5-star BBQ. You scour these Google reviews to hope and find a place like this.

Loved the sauces. All four of them. I’m not usually down with Carolina mustard, but this was good. The put beans were awesome. Meat added to them and smoked. But the cheddar jalapeño grits were the best thing on this tray. Unbelievably good. Rich and tangy. Not hot. The only thing is the ribs had quite a pull to them. I was their first customer of the day, so they may have needed to go a little longer, but the rub was sweet and there was a nice smoke ring. Other than a little tough, they were delicious.
