For my mom’s birthday I offered to take her to lunch anywhere she wanted to go. She chose Sweet Tea Express. I had never been, but she had a few times. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but was pleasently surprised. It felt like the old diners we used to go to when I was a kid. Friendly staff and EXCELLENT food. I had the BBQ bacon burger and it instantly became the best burger I ever had. I know where we are going for my birthday. It’s a little expensive, but the portions are generous and the quality is worth the price.

Nice little BBQ place. The sandwiches were great and you will not be let down. But the sides are a different story, if you are wanting some good ole macoroni salad you will be let down for the lack of flavors. As for the sweet potato fries they are a decent choice. The staff is very friendly and will to give you suggestions if you can’t make up your mind.

To clarify, this review is for the CENTRAL POINT restaurant, Not Medford. The food is usually pretty good and consistent. The reason for the poor review is because of the service and the managers response. We placed a take out order for one sandwich, fries, and a small macaroni salad at 12:45 on Sunday. We received the food at 1:22pm. The manager said that they had a large group come in and were busy. My husband has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years. Most restaurants will try to get as many of the smaller orders out as quickly as possible to allow them to concentrate on the larger order without creating a backlog. This particular manager apparently decided to concentrate on the large order and randomly put out a few small orders. Unfortunately, our order was shuffled to the bottom of the pile. Sadly, because of the poor way this was handled, we will not be returning. The quality of the product doesn’t outweigh the poor service.

We heard their burgers and sweet tea were good, so we stopped in for ate lunch. Wow. The burger was mind blowing, potato salad was tasty…..and the tea ain’t that bad either. The staffs a cool group too..They even split our burger in half for us. Price was a little high,, but,, We’ll be back. 🙂
