I went here tonight and loved the food! Good southern cooking with tons of classic southern dish options. I had the country fried steak with mac and cheese and purple hull peas, and finished with a slice of icebox lemon pie. I also had the sweet tea and it was made just like I like it. Everything was delicious!

For the most part, I’d say that Sweetpea’s food was pretty good. I liked that my fish had a decent amount of crisp to it and that it came with tarter sauce. The only thing that I wish that it could have done was include two sides with my sandwich instead of one. But hey, that’s probably because I currently only make $15 an hour.

Came here from a Google Map review! This place did not disappoint. Great service, awesome food, and cozy atmosphere. I had the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and lima beans. Great comfort food for sure. Large, perfectly prepared portions. Awesome and friendly table service. Pies and meals to go!!

You feel like you’re in a small town- mom & pop’s restaurant. The food tastes like it was made with love. And just like all other things that take time… this food is no different. Sometimes the phone lines are busy so you can’t pre-order and you have to go down and wait in line to place your order- then wait 20-30 minutes for it… but it’s worth it the wait.

What an absolute waste of money. Tasteless, overcooked food. This place caters to the geriatric crowd. If you possess any semblance of taste, STEAR CLEAR OF THIS DUMP! The server was too busy to even get our drinks to us before the food arrived! Are you kidding me? Even the feel of this place is greasy. If you do decide to take fate into your own hands, one most definite recommendation. Do not get the salmon patties. Dry, Dry, too much bread binder. Did I mention dry? You’d be better off staying home, opening a can of peas or cream style corn and eating it right out of the can. It’d be a better experience.

Love this restaurant. Food is always delicious. Servers are efficient and friendly. Children’s menu is available. Prices are reasonable and plentiful portions. Daily lunch specials are always good. Love Ms. Sheila who always speaks to our grandchildren and gives them a treat. They will be patrons of Sweet Pea’s forever.

I ordered the Fried Catfish , mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The lady that filled the order and took my payment was very nice and attentative to make sure I had everything I needed and that my order was correct. I really appreciated that kind of courtesy . Thank you !

I ordered to-go and was pretty disappointed. The chicken breast was soggy on the bottom and when I tried to pull it apart, it was nearly impossible, extremely tough. Fried chicken should pull apart easily so I was afraid to take a bite. Either it was underdone or seemed to have been boiled before being battered and fried. The potatoes were fine, the macaroni and cheese were dry and bland and the rolls were the kind you find in the freezer section. If it were cheaper, I probably wouldn’t have complained but for the price point, at lunch even, the food quality needs to be better. My daughter liked her corn dogs but the fries were unseasoned. Overall, likely won’t return.

Really disappointed. Maybe it was a one-off experience since this is supposedly top ten in bartlett. Never been before and accidentally came in the wrong door (door was unlocked and no sign saying otherwise). Got side-eyed by who I’m assuming is the manager and (assuming) head waitress/hostess. We would have happily moved tables but had no idea. Was assigned a waitress who took our drink order but never came back for our actual order (addressed a table that came in after us instead). We got a new waitress who was awesome. Ordered country fried steak with mac n cheese and mashed potatoes. I guess i had high expectations from a “southern cookin” restaurant but the country fried steak was no different than what i get at sams and toss in the air fryer. But what got me was the mac n cheese. This was the bottom of the barrel. Should’ve just asked for a different side. Took a few bites thinking maybe it had breading on top, but no. It was crunchy and clearly the last of what was there. Heard the table behind us ask for mac n cheese and were told they were out. Yea. I’m pretty sure they scraped the last for my cup. Super disappointed. We don’t eat out much so we won’t be back. Maybe it was a bad night, I don’t know.

The food is simply to die for, but after you get your order, the server doesn’t check back more than once for any reason. I gave the atmosphere only 3 stars because, while quaint, there’s not much to look at, and the chairs are a bit uncomfortable.
