Came here for a work event. Service was a little slow but that in understandable with a large group. Everyone raved about the food they had. Between salads, sandwiches, fries, and crab cakes, every dish was a hit. I had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. Fries were crispy and nicely seasoned.

Fairly new, comfortable venue off the beaten track in downtown Madeira. Unique roof top dining area as well as a patio. Diverse menu with lots of comfort foods. Great meatloaf, home made chili and shrimp tacos. Nothing fancy, just good. Easily accommodates vegan and allergy requirements. Attentive friendly service. Full bar. Reasonable prices. Family friendly casual neighborhood place.

My wife suggested lunch at Swingline and it was very good. She had a salad and I had a Greek quinoa bowl. The bowl was very good and the service was friendly and quick. The only challenge is parking. The restaurant is going to be busy often so be prepared to park down the block and walk.

Have been to SwingLine a few times now. Went today for lunch. Took a hot minute to get anyone to come over initially but after that, service was great. Not sure if there was a shift change or they didn’t know about us, but like I said, we had great service after that.

Really delightful atmosphere for drinks with friends or to enjoy a summer evening on their patio. Service was impeccable. Felt the food was a bit pricey for what you received. Four crab cakes (with breading) were just slightly bigger than 50 cent peices with a drizzle of sauce more artful than substantial. They were obviously not made from scratch, and cost $13.00! The Avocado Quinoa Salad was gorgeous, certainly worth the $10.00, but ask for an extra dressing or you will feel you’re eating it dry. Go for the drinks and atmosphere, and be prepared for solid, tasty, well-presented, but still basically simply prepared “bar food”. However, the SwingLine makes enchanting use of Madeira’s historic connection to the local rail line and is an attractive addition to our downtown area, enhancing it exponentially from years past.

Service was impeccable. Very quick— food was still very good. Some of the freshest most savory food in the state for sure. Waiter would come back often to refill and check in, hostess helped track down someone who lost a jacket; it’s overall a wholesome delicious place.
