Went for the 1st time with my family and wasn’t sure what to expect with from looking at the outside of the building but when we went in it was full of nostalgia, the pictures on the wall were nice and the owner was very polite and attentive. My family was the only ones in there which made food service fast and the small kitchen she has you can see them cook all the food. It was like having grandma’s home cooked meal. I can’t wait to go back again and see what’s next to offer.

Stopped in on a whim for a hot lunch. This spot is so cute, filled with locals, and the food is yummy! Sylvia was very nice to us out-of-towners as well.

I thought I was in a twilight movie!!! We were the only ones in there and the lady and the guy serving was just staring at us all the time!!! Weird situation, we wanted to walk out but felt bad so we stayed!!!! We really should have left!!!! My eggs had a crumbled up hair or a very hairy insect!!!! I was so grossed out!!!!!

They kitchen was a normal household kitchen and we watched them cook everything. Some food was overcooked, and all of it was subpar. The place needs an update badly. The owners are very nice and treated us well. $45 for 2 people to have breakfast in a place like that, though…UNEXCEPTABLE!

We found Sylvia’s when we were stranded in town with a broken car. Loved the local vibe, though they were very friendly in welcoming us. Didn’t try their famous corned beef hash but they made me a hash bowl without the hash—I enjoyed the eggs with veggies, cheese, and potatoes, though I wish they’d sautéed the onions rather than adding them raw.

Really good food, prices, and most importantly amazing people. I came here for breakfast with my father and we had two Big Ones. It was delicious and the food came out fast. Quality wholesale ingredients in a warm cozy atmosphere.

Home style breakfast served with homestyle love. My wife and I were on a short day trip to the Lancaster area and stopped at Sylia’s for breakfast. There’s not a thing fancy about the diner or the food, and that’s a good thing. The food was delicious and reminded me of the breakfasts my mom makes me when I go home to visit. As for the service… it felt like being at home. Warm and comfortable, welcoming and friendly. Next time we’re in Lancaster we’ll be sure to stop.
