Update: Yesterday, I had lunch here and had a great experience. I ordered the Fish Fillet in Black Bean Sauce as well as the Hot and sour soup. It was a wonderful value at $12.95!

Authentic, fiery, numbing Szechuan food that doesn’t go too crazy on the heat. Extremely underrated hidden restaurant—one of the best I’ve found in NYC given what you get for the price. Food is much better than the typical Szechuan places. I personally love the twice-cooked pork. Portions are huge; one dish is a full meal for two people.

Got delivery and the food that actually arrived was all very good. The red general spicy chicken was the standout. Very spicy and numbing, good quality!

Excellent food!! We had the hot and sour soup (MUST HAVE, so flavorful, thick), the scallion pancakes (also excellent) and the spicy lamb with mixed peppers (cannot stress how good this was).

My favorite Szechuan restaurant in NYC. They do family-style servings of Chinese food. I always get the Chongqing Chicken. It’s very spicy, tingly, mouth-watering, and savory all at once. I also adore the eggplant with the sticky, sweet sauce. I’ve eaten here every couple months over the past two years and have loved everything I’ve ordered. The service has always been excellent, as they are highly attentive even when busy. The inside is cozy, and they even celebrate special evens like Lunar New Year. Make sure to eat at the restaurant rather then getting food delivered as the condensation will taint the perfectly velveted chicken.

The food was great! I liked the shredded pork with bamboo shoots. This is one of the places that I knew of that offers shredded pork with bamboo shoots, which was one of my favorite dishes when I lived in Cambridge, MA. The Chongqing style braised spicy fish fillet was spicy and hot. It’s good, but maybe too oily for me. My kids liked their cold sesame noodle, but I would not order it for myself. Overall, it’s a decent place for some Chinese food.

The BEST PLACE for Chinese takeout, simply prepared genuine Chinese food that can be mild or super spicy depending on your order. We takeout from here regularly and when my sister visits she orders in advance because it’s her fav meal in NYC. No, we aren’t Chinese, but we totally love the food.

Food tasted fresh and was plentiful. A bit pricey, however. The service was nice and so was the space. I recommend it.

We were super excited about getting the crawfish here, I had high hope for it, however the crawfish is not as fresh as they told me. They said that the crawfish is freshly shipped to the restaurant, but not the fresh to the extent that they were alive. Well, my bad, however they were kind enough to deduct half of the price for us.
