I have been looking for an Asian dine-in restaurant for a long time as many are carry out only. A friend of mine told me about this place and we decided to dine in today. It is a large dine in restaurant with a bar area and plenty of parking. The decor and atmosphere is so nice all of the little Ming vases and other Decor feels so authentic. We were seated and the waiter was gracious and attentive. They had an extensive menu which included full dinner or lunch specials. The food was very good and I decided that I will be back to try other items on the menu. the restaurant was clean and smells so good which was great because sometimes you can leave a restaurant and they have the nastiest restroom. this was quite opposite. I had to ask how long was the place has been there because it seem like it was new. I was told it’s been there for sometime so they keep it in excellent condition. If you haven’t been there please stop there you will enjoy it

The food was very good overall. The only problem I had was with the spring rolls being so greasy. There was a lot of oil on my hands when I picked them up. However, the veggies inside were fresh and crunchy just like I like them!

I give this place 3 stars not spectacular for the prices but OK. I ordered the Hunan Shrimp ($17) no lunch special. It was OK but certainly not the best I’ve had especially for the price. For $17 dollars they should use wild caught shrimp to enhance the flavor of the dish, and to offset the cost of the dish rather than using farm raised shrimp. Seafood lovers know the difference in quality! The egg drop soup was awesome and rich not watery like some places. I also gave 3 stars because I ordered a Mai Thai for my drink beverage, and was not brought a glass of water until I requested it no hot tea either which is to be standard right?. Overall not a bad choice if you don’t have better options around. I wanted to try based on the reviews. My take is they should be using high quality ingredients (seafood) to justify their prices!

We use to live in Waldorf before we retired and moved to South Carolina. While living in Maryland we visited Szechuan at least once a month for their excellent food and atmosphere. Needless to say, whenever we come to Maryland to visit we always have to stop at Szechuan Garden Restaurant for another one of their high quality cuisine and excellent service. Plenty of parking at this friendly family restaurant.

The food is bland. I wanted to leave after the appetizer but my dinner date wanted to stay I order the shrimp egg foo young because I felt I could salt and pepper it to my taste. The egg has the consistency of under cook pancake batter. I tried to work with it but it was throwing me off. I sent it back and because I picked through one I was charged $5. When we asked for napkins we got one per person. I will not be coming back and I do not recommend!

This place has good food. The dine in atmosphere is good. It is VERY PRICEY THOUGH. We spent $60 for the two of us, but the food lasted a couple of days after the initial purchase, so you get a lot of food for the price.

We found Szechuan Garden on referral from a local friend. We were traveling and looking for a good lunch spot. We arrived at 2:30 and their lunch menu was still available. We were greeted with a friendly atmosphere. And greeted by a handful of staff members. Needing to wash up, I found their restroom clean, roomy and nicely decorated. The restaurant as a whole had a nostalgic decor with a purple drape forming a low ceiling. The art work was in Asian style with a lot of living plants placed on shelves around the large room. The tables were set with placemats. We found the meal delicious as well as starter sushi. I liked that the chop sticks were in a sealed wrap vs a paper sleeve. It appeared an alcohol drink could have been ordered from there fully stocked bar but we were driving so enjoyed endless ice teas. I did like their music selection. A pleasant blend of easy listening to nostalgic 60’s and 70’s soft mix. Of course our meal ended with a fresh fortune cookie. The price was a tad higher for lunch but worth it to have a nice setting. Being a block off 301, I’m glad we found it. Plus ample parking made it easy.
