Just had this food for the first time today and I’m so glad I did! Everything is freshly cooked to order and the flavors are amazing! Employees were nice and went above and beyond to deliver outstanding customer service! I will definitely be eating here Everytime I come into town.

Worst Indian food ever had. We had ordered chicken biriyani , sheek kabab and many other dishes none of the dishes tasted as Indian cuisine . I must say about chicken biriyani it was like Masala Jeera rice with chicken and that chicken was not cooked properly. It was really horrible experience.

On the menu, the garlic naan they have is $3, but what they serve is pita bread with some oil on top. You can buy 10 pita bread in a store for just $2. Their punjabi chole is pre-packaged, and so is their chicken kebab. This place is a scam and you should avoid it. It is preying on the people who don’t know what this food is like. A restuarant is not supposed to serve pre-packaged items, or lie about the items either.

Taaza Takeout was a pleasant experience. The owner is very personable and the food is delicious. I’ve been to several Indian restaurants, and this by far is the best tasting. I will definitely return and recommend to many others. Thank you for your hospitality!!

This is our new favorite takeout restaurant in Portsmouth. They do takeout but there are some tables and chairs for those who want to eat at the restaurant. My husband got the lamb curry and I got the butter chicken. Each meal was especially flavorful and the curries in each dish were different, which is very important to me. Other restaurants in the area seem to use the same curry for every dish. We opted for Hot when ordering our meals. That is the middle spice option. That was the perfect amount of heat to me and I normally add extra heat to everything I cook. We also ordered vegetable samosas which were very crispy and fresh. The Tamarind chutney had a good balance of sweet and tangy. I look forward to trying the Bhindi Masala in the future. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant is very clean and I highly recommend that people give Taaza a try.
