First time here and loved it! It can be a bit daunting if you don’t understand the process of cooking and menu but the staff at very helpful and it’s really hard to get it too wrong. A bit messy, but the food is delicious!! Highly recommend trying out Tabu Shabu!

Best bang for your buck in the harbor. Service is great..food is great! It’s not the place for a quiet romantic dinner. But it’s a great place for a fun party! And if you like salmon sashimi, they have some of the best salmon!

The waitress was very nice and kind to explain us how Shabu worked, we also followed her recommendation on food choices and our meal was delicious. Meat and veggies were fresh. We will go back soon.

Fun experience cooking your own meat and veggies at your seat. Our enthusiastic server, Kevin, walked us through it all since we were newbies. Just get the regular size, it is very filling with all the broth and veggies!

Fantastic. Exactly what you are looking for in Shabu. Small Saki selection but they have all the bangers. Food was fresh and delicious. Staff are on point from front to kitchen. 11/10 shabu experience.

Kind of loud, social experience. But the food, drinks, and service are fantastic.

What a waste of time, over priced and little food. Everyone sits at a bar, couldn’t hear each other. It is not the place to sit and enjoy “everyone’s” company. You cook your own food in a broth. $25-30 for 4 -6 oz of meat, a little bit of veggies and a scoop of rice. Yuppie heaven. And you are working throughout the whole meal to eat. The staff was awesome, the places was very clean, but you could not drag me there again.

I was obsessed with Tabu Shabu when i discovered it in Carlsbad, went back 3x on that mini getaway. There’s something about the freshness of eating shabu shabu (hot pot) that is so satisfying.
