People come back here and rate it 4 or more stars? Why? I ordered the teriyaki “entree” which apparently includes one scoop of white rice a small portion of chicken cut into tiny pieces and maybe 2 ounces of sliced vegetables… and no teriyaki sauce or flavor. I’ve had better teriyaki bowls from a grocery store for $8. Oh yeah this “entree” was $22!!! But it did come with a small house salad with nasty house dressing. Who keeps coming back and paying for this lol. Service at the door was great, greeted with a smile and directed to the counter. 22 dollars… why??? So disappointed when I opened the food container lol. What’s hilarious is the bowl is $2 less for the exact same thing… wonder how much smaller the portion is? Maybe I just ordered the worst item on the menu and nobody knew how to make it because nobody orders it?

First time there and the nigiri and handrolls were excellent. You pay a bit more, but its worth it for a place that doesn’t overdo the rice to keep costs lower and that has excellent quality fish. I can understand why some of the reviews mention service as a problem (from the servers, not the sushi bar). But sit at the bar, don’t be shy about calling over a server when you need one, and you’ll be fine. They all appear to be high school and college girls, so how much do they really know what they’re doing? If you’re looking for amazing service and don’t mind mid-grade sushi, go somewhere else.

I got a bento box. The fried rice tasted very funny, and the water tasted dirty. The tempura was ok, but the teriyaki chicken was of poor quality. The service was terrible, a very quiet high schooler who forgot portions of our order and made more than one mistake otherwise. My husband got some mediocre ramen and some coke that was so flat we sent it back. On top of all that it was pretty expensive, $15 for his ramen and $16 for my box. Their sushi might be better but I won’t be back to find out.

We hadn’t been here in a while, but since the last time we came, the inside has been redecorated. It’s a fun spot in East county. The sushi was really good, and our server was friendly and helped with recommendations.

The rolls were awesome, but the service wasn’t so great. My friend and I seemed to annoy our waitress with not knowing what we wanted yet. It was our first time there and we weren’t sure. Then we were forgotten about to order for a while. Then once we got our appetizers, our waitress comes back asking if we want dessert. We commented about eating our rolls first, that we were still waiting on, and she admitted to forgetting about them. She even added that it got busy and she wasn’t paying attention. Why would you tell your customers that? It seemed unprofessional and she was kind of rude the whole time.

Service was bad. Walked in there was trash on the floor. Miso soup looked like it had a fly in it. Sent back no apology. Waitress took our order never returned after we were served and asked for the bill. We won’t ever return

2015 this was the best sushi in 10 or 15 miles. Today not so much. Not 100% sure what happened. 04-2023 Keeps going downhill. Pretty sure I know what happened now. It’s a younger could care less group of people, and the manager / owner does not care about quality.

They forgot to put cream cheese in my PHILLY roll when that’s what makes it a Philly roll and I also received the most botched rainbow roll ever with only 1 slice of sushi roll of shrimp in it and avacado botched all over the roll, i grew up coming here and the quality has declined, sorry to write this review but you guys can do better!!! I’ve tasted so much better from tabu! If I get food poisoning I’m gonna be so mad because the fish tasted a little so fishy too!
