The restaurant was very clean, the service was terrible despite the fact that there were no other customers, the lady who attended me told me that she did not know the menu well, they gave me my food cold. But after heating it in my house, the Chalupa was delicious, I don’t understand why it is the busiest Taco Bell in McHenry County if the service is horrible and besides, the guys who work there serve Latinos very badly!! What a shame about customer service and the food is cold. Only one star because the food is delicious even if they give it to you cold, because the place is clean, but totally disappointed in the place.

Go down Rt 14 to the one in Cary or something. This location has been hit or miss for so long, and more often it’s a miss. Starting with something easy, the Baja Blast here always tastes awful, either completely wrong or pale and flavorless. I’ve told them many times that the drinks taste bad here, never fixed. I am very familiar with what BB should taste like. We just went for the first time in a while today and made a pretty big order and it was one of those times where everyone eating at home said it tasted like garbage and we were all disappointed. People have their opinions about Taco Bell but it can be really good when you get fresh stuff and a crew who does a good job. But when you get a bad serving it’s really bad. And of course the drink tasted terrible. This location usually has higher prices on featured items, you can compare to other locations in the app. Usually the employees are decently friendly, no real issue with that. It’s just terrible to bring a bag of food home and not enjoy any of it. On this most recent trip a few extra sauces that were paid for were not included too. This building is actually a modern looking location that looks newer than the other ones around here. Shame that the food is often not good.

I don’t know, I’m old school. I worked there when I was young when Scott with the GM. The bean burrito rocked, they had a seafood taco salad back then…it was flavorful. The steak soft taco had just come out. It was dynamite! So, I got to ask… What have you done to it? It’s no where near what it use to be. Not the stores fault, I blame the corporate for changing the flavoring. It’s not bad, but not overly impressive any more. Meat, cheese and lettuce? That’s not a taco. Where’s the onion, tomato and black olives on it? People want a bang for their buck, value, quality and quantity. I’m not seeing that now. But, anyways the old location got a face lift. Looks great. Still brings back memories from us CBers / Gearheads that use to hang out at the C.L. water tower and walk across route 14 to stock up on burritos and tacos. I’ll still go there, but bring back the flavor, and missing ingredients. I could never figure out why they ever discontinued the crab seafood taco salad with ranch dressing… That thing ruled. The dining room looks awesome, but loose the kiosk – horrible. People want human interaction, and that thing doesn’t take cash either. Bad idea. Aside, from all of my findings… It’s still the old taco bell I remembered, in the same location it’s always been. I’ll be back.

This location just can’t seem to get orders right. More attention needs to be paid to CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. That means quality food AND quality service. Not getting items you were charged for–on multiple occasions–isn’t satisfying.

Got at least a half hour to kill? Try the drive thru…. This location is ridiculously, incredibly slow, every time. It’s so consistently bad that it’s almost quicker to drive to the Woodstock and back.

Was overcharged for two tacos and a drink that should have come out to about $6 and ended up paying $14 because of substitution?. What a ripoff. No manager to be found. Will not go there again.
