We, my grandsons and I, had a wonderful experience at lunch today. The boys accidentally juggled the tray and spilled 2 large drinks in the dining room. The young woman at the register was so kind and patient with us! And the food was great!

I stopped in for lunch. A newer location for Taco Bueno . The dining room was clean. Ordering was quick and easy. Soda fountain worked well and included both Fanta orange and strawberry sodas. Condiment bar was clean and well stocked. Both salsa and firehouse salsa tasted good and fresh.

Today – MANAGER was extremely rude, enough she embarrassed her employees. She put her fingers in my food to prove there was cheese that was almost non existent. She then wanted to refuse to remake my burrito telling me she DIDN’T put her fingers in it (she used her blue glove). She told her employees to be sure and make it to portion size. The chicken salad was good and the shell was fresh but we won’t be returning to this location.

The young lady at the counter was very helpful and friendly, she greeted us coming in and answered all our questions. She ran the front counter and the drive through, our food was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. The other two young ladies were filling all the orders and were friendly, one even brought our food to us. The food tasted great and the service was excellent. I will be going back there, these three young ladies should get a raise or some kind of promotion for doing a job well done.

I drove through today and ordered a combo burrito with double beef, and easy refied beans. They charged me for it, the burrito was the flattest burrito since I have been eating at taco bueno!! I went there in my lunch, got back to Sheriff’s dept unwrapped the burrito to find it was almost all refined beans, very little meat, no cheese, and all of it especially the flour tortilla was cold! Tasted like they scrapped the refied beans straight out of the can, none of it was hot! So that would be my last time going to that taco bueno on 288!!!! I will drive to the one in crossroads. I am just appalled that workers just don’t care what they give you these days! HORRIBLE!!!!!!

It is 10:39 the store was suppose to be open by 10:30 no one answered in drive thru. So I thought maybe I’d get out and go in instead. The front door was locked still. And I look through the glass window to see if I can see anyone. And to my surprise I see to the back and a worker was busy making their own food right when they are suppose to be open. For me that is not the best employability skill. I mean…. I get we’re all hungry. But to feed yourself right when the place is open. And the doors are still locked. And a customer can see you. What a shame!

This taco bueno has very unprofessional staff working the drive thru window. I tried to order two big freakn burritos with no lettuce or tomato, but the woman taking my order continuously refused to get my order correct. When we finally landed on the burritos, I then asked for the sauces to which she somehow heard “quesadillas”. No idea how you get “quesadillas” from “sauces”. On their menu they have listed, jalapeño ranch, Chipotle ranch, and chili sauce, etc. I asked for 1 of those three each. She said they don’t sell Chipotle ranch, and I said that it shows it on the menu. She proceeded to talk over me, telling me they don’t have it. I was trying to tell her the only reason I asked for it was because it IS listed on the menu. She continued to talk over me, and I drove away not wanting to deal with it anymore.

Been here several times, no problems. Last night was absolutley vile. I went to this taco Bueno location around 8:30 PM on Tuesday, April 18. When I got to the window, I told them I wanted a Buenochilada platter. The total was a bit different than the usual, It was 10 dollars and some change. I got to the window wondering what the difference was, and found out I had been rang up with a Wholelotta platter. The woman who rang me up was skinny, and perhaps of mixed race. She then responded very snarkily “I know I heard Wholelotta platter but its ok I’ll fix it” and I said “No ma’am I absolutley said Buenochilada” and she proceeded with attitude to say “Ok whatever” and as she was beginning to put my card in the terminal I said, “Ma’am give me my card” she held my card and said, “No I’m going to fix it” and held it close to the terminal I then reapeated “Ma’am give me my card” and she said, “What you dont want it?” And I said “Absolutley Not”. Not only did she display copius amounts of disrespect, she also refused to give me my card when I asked for it upwards of 2 times, needless to say I left .

The food quality has gone down. I usually order bean burritos which look like they were prepared hours ago and the tortilla is hard from trying to warm it back up. We drive out to the location on Long Prairie road bc they have better food.

I’m glad to finally have a Taco Bueno on the south-eastern part of town! This location is a bit hard to see from Loop 288. It’s next to Buff City Soap, in the old Golden Corral location, next to Popeye’s Chicken. Because it is in the old Golden Corral building, the drive-thru is a bit odd on the north side of the building.
