Staff at this one is great. I actually like TDM over chipotle, simply because of one thing: olives. No, it’s not traditional Mexican at all but it really sets if off. Also their meat is done well, especially their chicken. And they have 5 different kinds of tortillas to choose from. Chipotle doesn’t even have whole wheat yet. Get it together, man

Took two hours to make a pre-ordered family platter when the original estimate said 20 minutes. They seem to have given us only half the food and definitely left out the sour cream, guacamole, and queso that comes with the order. When I called the manager Alberto interrupted me and started telling me that no, it didn’t take them two hours. I showed up at 12:50 and they gave me the food at 2:38. They weren’t busy at any moment and dished the food we got from the general supply, so there is no reason it needed to take two hours. Do better, Alberto and team.

I was so off put by the customer service that I will not go here ever again. The person working there was very rude and unnecessarily hostile. They were either having a bad day or hated their job or both. Understandable looking at the environment. Dingy and unclean there were no other customers around. Probably scared off by the awful energy and self loathing.

This is the first time I have eaten at a Taco Del Mar. And I will not make the same mistake twice. First they gave me the wrong take out order so I had to drive back and get my correct order. The food is definitely not worth the money. Does not taste fresh and it is bland. I should of taken the extra time to go to a food truck or Chipotle.

I’ve been up since 4:30am with food poisoning and it was definitely without a doubt from the fish tacos here. I had this feeling when the worker grabbed them from the tray they had probably been out too long, and they were lukewarm when I ate them which also made me think “this is concerning.” I should’ve tuned in and trusted my instincts, but instead I shirked my own intuition. Now I am a sea cucumber. I used to love Taco Del Mar, but after being poisoned by the food I cannot see myself wanting to eat here again.

Do not recommend place is dirty, they have dog hairs on plates they serve the food on. It was in my food. The guys there are rude and mean. Very small portions food is over priced. They reuse there food it’s not fresh. Unsanitary, the time I was there I seen roaches. Would not recommend never eating at taco del mar ever again.
