I was just at the white bear lake, mn location and had to pull up to the window to order which was fine. I asked to have ranch instead of the house dressing and the lady taking my order was wonderful but another employee behind her was mimicking and making fun of the way I ordered. Maybe he liked the way I sounded but I considered it rude and unprofessional of him to be making fun of me simply based on how I sound. No kind of bullying should be tolerated imo. Food was delicious.

I have been going to taco johns since the one on rice st. Opened in the 70’s. I go to white bear lake , because it’s convenient. Tonight 8/21/23 was one of worst meals I have gotten. Hardly any meat on them (tacos) maybe a teaspoon worth , no tomatos. I got a beef burrito again hardly any meat, I got cheese and onions, no lettuce or tomato. The 4 employee ‘s that i had seen no hats or hair nets and beard covering missing. Heath hazard that 2 out of the 3 worst meals I had out of there. The first was lack of meat. I can see why taco johns only has a 2 star rating, I will not come back to this store or oakdales.

Taco John’s consistently serves FRESH, tasty foods that are decently portioned and reasonably priced. I usually use their drive-thru. The staff is friendly and courteous. The management is ALWAYS eager to make good when notified of an error in orders.

Granted that taco joints are not a fine dinning experience. Most every customer going to Taco Johns is looking for quick cheap food, with a Mexican taste. I did not like my specialty taco nor my taco salad, either of the two times I went here. I paid over $3 for a large soda…wow. They were quick though. Disappointing…

Donut holes were raw dough. Potato oles cold, fried Chicken tacos weird. Sticky floors, do one who cared. Bathrooms were gross. Who is the management company, this has a great Lake location but no pride ….finger prints all over the windows and doors. We will not be back.

I have now counted FIVE straight times that I have gone to this location and ordered the “Big Boss Burrito” and every time there is some excuse to why they cant make it. This last time was “we are no longer making the boss burrito tonight”. I asked “why it is only 6pm”. They answered with “we don’t have any more rice or black beans”. The previous 4 times were all a use of “we don’t have any more of the ingredients”. How can someone visit 5 straight times with the same menu item apparently out of ingredients before dinner is even over. Why not just take the item off the menu if you refuse to make it. The food is prepared well just a lack of, I guess, “ingredients” is an issue.

Everyone is super friendly at taco johns, great customer service and everyone greets me with a wonderful smile on their faces even if they are stress out they always have a positive attitude.
