The people behind the counter were plenty friendly, the inside was a bit dirty but I understand not having two seconds to sweep when you’re short staffed and serving customers. The food, however, was a little awful. I always heard good things about it so I wanted to try it. I had a chicken quesadilla.. the tortilla tasted old, the chicken was mushy and slimey, and the whole thing was bland beyond belief. If I come back, I won’t be getting that ever again.

I’ve only been to 2 other Taco John’s but this one was sad in comparison. Parking is almost non-existant, decor is worn out, flies bothered me the whole meal and my food was soggy. But the diet pepsi tasted good and the girls working the counter were all friendly and fast. So probably pretty average for Chanute.

I went through the drive thru which wasn’t busy for a change. The food however was a different story… . I ordered the fried chicken tacos( one lime/Chile and one jalapeno) a large potato ole with nacho cheese and a drink. The potato oles were cold and way too salty! the tacos…ugh let’s just say I was VERY disappointed today. C’mon Taco John’s get it together.. ♀️

I was in on Sunday night and was really disappointed. I usually enjoy food from this location but I could only eat one of the 2 burritos I ordered. I assume because of the way the grilled burritos are cooked but it was stuck to the wrapper and shredded apart, when I tried to remove it. The inside was mushy from an abundance of the sauce. I had to throw it away.

First of all…there should be MORE of these franchises. This is basically taco bell…but just a little bit better. But the main game changer here is Potatoes Ole! The little mini Hashbrowns perfectly seasoned and dipped into their cheese sauce…amazing.
