I ordered online. My order was ready for pickup within 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and attentive when I arrived. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. They even carried my order out to my vehicle. Food was delicious. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend Taco Mama.

This is my first time to write a negative review for any restaurant but after our visit to Taco Mama tonight I felt the need too. My 90 year old father and 89 year old mother (on a Walker ) went to sit at a table while I stood in line to order for them. The guy working tables told them they could not sit there that they had to order first and made them get up. After helping them back to my car I went back in and ordered. The guy that took my order asked if it was to go or dine in. I said to go since there were no tables available even though I could see 3 empty tables. He said that there were plenty of tables. I explained what happened and he apologized. That really didn’t make up for the treatment that my elderly parents had experienced. It’s sad that no respect was shown by this employee.

As far as Mexican food/tacos go, this isn’t it. If you’re someone whose never had authentic Mexican food and you want the Caucasian spin on tacos, you might enjoy this food. The salsa is bad. Their street corn is bad. The taco combination are far from traditional and the flavors don’t work well together. As is, I had a burrito put into a bowl and they couldn’t even get the order right, and I asked for light cheese and got way too much. They didn’t even get the barbacoa flavor correct. I’ve been there twice, once with a friend and after that when I was getting car car serviced across the street. It was not good both times. Overall, it’s weak and lacks flavor. I think they should go back to the basics and learn about tacos and flavor profiles, maybe hire an actual Mexican chef to create the menu.

I was really disappointed. The food tasted really bland. I had a veggie bowl and it had no taste to it. They gave me so little rice that I thought I didn’t have any, but after searching, I found a little. I had to put salt on it to make it taste better. My husband didn’t have all the toppings on his as I did so the salt didn’t help his veggie bowl. He couldn’t eat it, neither could I.

This is a great spot. We ordered Togo but it was such a nice day we ended up sitting on the patio and eating. The food was hot and ready when we got there and they had condiments in the bag and on their patio tables.

Jeremy and his team are awesome. Great atmosphere, off the hook food. Chy at the bar knows everyone and keeps the drinks moving. If you are in the area, make time to stop and enjoy this local gem.
