Don Pancho had a vision to create a fast casual Mexican restaurant that would provide true Mexican flavor. This is how the Palenque chain was born. Originally from Sinaloa, Mexico and now a U.S. citizen, Don Pancho originally founded El Pollo Loco© which was a success that led him to open his first Taco Palenque® back in 1987 in Laredo, Texas. Taco Palenque® is mainly known for its authentic Mexican tacos.
It has become the ultimate place to spend time with family and friends while enjoying a meal. In fact, positive word of mouth has had a major impact on our satisfied customers. There are several Taco Palenque® locations operating throughout the south region of Texas and are continuing to grow.

Dine in- dirty stained walls, dirty tables. Food was good, but only received 2 tortillas for the palenque bowls when it was supposed to be three. We went to complain and was told they would “tell the lady”.

Tried this place over the weekend for breakfast tacos and they were so good. The tortillas tasted fresh, the Avocado salsa was great and the food was hot. Using the drive thru took way longer than anticipated but it was a Saturday morning. I would come here again.

The food is always great and reasonably priced for the portions and quality. Their Achilles Heel is their inability to move a drive through. It’s one of the reasons I eat there infrequently and when I do, I try to do it in their dining room. To be frank, I can park, go inside, order and eat in about the same amount of time as it takes to get my order into my car in the drive through.

Ordered light combo around 1000. Chicken was old, cold, and tasted nothing like normal. The taco shells were old and cold. Asked for chips and didn’t receive them and they left out the extra tortillas that come with the meal. Food was inedible. Absolutely terrible. Never go to this location.

It’s ridiculous the prices this restaurant charges I, went to order 2 order of the 4 count street tacos an was amazed to pay 25$ I almost fainted. How can, four tacos coat more than a lb an half of sirloin fajita. Plus when I called complaining they said that each taco comes with 1oz per taco so 4oz of fajita is no way justified to pay 12.50 never again, will I waste my money in this business plus it’s dirty everywhere an outside always stinks
