Don Pancho had a vision to create a fast casual Mexican restaurant that would provide true Mexican flavor. This is how the Palenque chain was born. Originally from Sinaloa, Mexico and now a U.S. citizen, Don Pancho originally founded El Pollo Loco© which was a success that led him to open his first Taco Palenque® back in 1987 in Laredo, Texas. Taco Palenque® is mainly known for its authentic Mexican tacos.
It has become the ultimate place to spend time with family and friends while enjoying a meal. In fact, positive word of mouth has had a major impact on our satisfied customers. There are several Taco Palenque® locations operating throughout the south region of Texas and are continuing to grow.

Leaving San Antonio to go back home made this stop for breakfast and the service was good, but the food was better. I don’t eat meat so I got the papa’s rice and they had it where you add your own Pico and hot sauce cilantro and limes my kids also loved the food

Where do I begin? We had the street style tacos, matamoros tacos, charro beans and fideo. Everything was super delicious. The salsas taste like legit mexican salsas and the service is great. Can’t wait to try their whole menu sorry the whole meal didn’t make it alive to the picture

Always hits the spot. The food is awesome and filling. If you go on Friday or Saturday nights just go before the club crowd gets there (so anytime before 1am). If you go after the clubs close…. you do so at your own risk ♂️

Got charged .85 cents for 1 oz of ham which was a mistake by the cashier. I told them I wanted my refund back on the card but instead gave me .77 cents worth of change back. I don’t like to carry change so it would be more convenient to have it back on my card. Next, I noticed that one of my tacos portion was smaller than the other. Other times I go here and they pack my tacos with lots of beans, rice, and sirloin. I decided to call about the issue and the manager had a hard time fixing my issue so I just decided to leave it alone. By the time I got off the phone my tacos were extremely cold. Won’t be going here again.

My wife picked this for a late night date. Either of us have tried it before. Fyi it’s just fajita meat and ur brekfeast tacos. I had the egg and bacon, and the other was chorizo and egg. Both were very good and they pack them tacos good. My wife got nachos/w fajita beef. It was good but for 7.99 could be bigger. Very small. Then we got a large order of nachos and queso that was freaking good. We didn’t like the 20 minute wait(dine in). The waiter apologized for it. Wasn’t his fault tho. I’d come back again for sure.

Almost everything is great tasting, kinda disappointed that my chorizo w/ potato taco had mostly potato and very few chorizo.

Lackluster. But it was 24hrs and uber eats delivered quickly. “Bean chortaco” so salty, it wasnt even palatable, the charro beans were very good, as well as the regular refried beans. Guac salsa is decent, but them $5 burritos are maybe 5″…back in Oregon for $3 more your burrito is nearly 3 1/2 lbs and your taste buds left satisfied (Trenecito in Springfield Oregon). Taco palenque was referred to us by a lady at Avis rentals, but not gonna order again, bleh!

This place is a rip off for the food you get. Sooo small, and I mean small side of rice and beans. The enchiladas were a JOKE and they look NOTHING like the picture online. Will not be going back. Quit ripping people off!

Best beef fajita hands down! If you are not familiar, try it. Definitely will not disappoint. A bit more expensive but once you try them, you will understand they really have the best beef.

Wow! This is the largest Taco Palenque I have been to. I had the bean & chorizo taco as well as a potato & chorizo taco on corn tortillas. . Tortillas are fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, their coffee was blah. The place was full by the time we left. && YES, I will be back.. to each of their restaurants.
