Recently ate here for first time and from now on when there’s a location nearby I will ALWAYS choose this over Taco Bell….best kept secret for drive through Mexican!

We LOVE Taco Treat! Been a fan for over 30 years. Any time we got to town we frequented their stores in Great Falls, Havre, Helena, Missoula, Billings, and a very long time ago, Butte! And the Helena location has FINALLY reopened their lobby after a LONG, almost 3 year stint of drive-thru only after COVID. I am glad to report the food here is still AMAZING! This is not a stuffy froofy fancy restaurant. The lobby is clean and functional with quality food at an affordable price point. You order at the counter and then go find a table. You simply cannot go wrong with 2 or 3 Beef Corn Tacos and Cheese Fries. (Make sure you ALWAYS ask for the American Cheese on the fries, shredded of course, which they also use on the tacos…. Sounds weird, but it is AMAZING!) The Tater Treat Supreme is very good as well, as are the Indian Tacos and both varieties of enchiladas. But those Tacos are our favorite! Their red Taco Sauce is excellent! For a fancier dining experience, definitely consider the Taco Treat Amigo Lounge the next time you are in Great Falls! You get wait staff, complimentary chips and salsa, and a full bar! (Their version of the Caesar is very good!) Did I mention those amazing Tacos? (FYI…we are NOT fans of any of the Taco Treat drive-thru’s as it seems the portions are not the same as the lobby, and the amazing taco sauce is in little skimpy not-so-amazing packets). TACOS!!!

Went to Taco Treat to get myself a treat on a long road trip. Sign says the place is open, no one is there and there are no cars. Was there way before closing. Place looks like it’s gone downhill. Went across the street and had a way better experience.

My personal experience was fine, though it took a while and the employee was forgetful about things (like refilling suaces). My food was okay, not great. Normally I’d give a 5-star review for my experience. However, the employee and manager treated a woman very poorly when she asked for a refund because she had to leave and had been waiting nearly a half an hour for her food, at a fast food restaurant that itself wasn’t very busy (I waited about 20 minutes for food myself). They offered a gift card, she said she was never coming back so wanted her money back. They said they don’t do refunds and she reiterated she wasn’t coming back. They told her to either wait for her food or leave then, in a sarcastic tone. Very unprofessional, and a terrible company policy if they really don’t offer refunds when someone hasn’t even gotten their food. One star for the way they treated that customer.

Went thru the Drive thru ordered 1 chicken taco, 2 beef&tater treat, asked for the cheese on the side and a medium root beer. The tacos were pathetic, greasy dropped in the bag about 2 ft in the air and they were cold. The tater treats were in the micro wave 5 min. To long. And l didn’t get my root beer., that was my fault, that and leaving a 5.00 tip. I’ve been eating at taco treat sense l was in junior high I’m now 77 and have never had food this bad at taco year. There is a really nice young man that works there. They could all learn from him. The guy that was working the food area should be sweeping the parking lot and check on often. I’ve always had good food there, l hope this doesn’t contine, or their will be another empty building on that one way. Jim Martinez

I had a very bad experience a while back, I gave taco treat another chance and it was another bad experience yet again. The service was terrible and the food was disgusting. Since the new owners took over taco treat years back it has gone from excellent food and service to one of the worst restaurants in town. Everybody has been complaining for a while now and they are not doing nothing about it. last time I confronted them the manager from Great Falls was very rude and disrespectful and accused me of telling lies and trying to scam them, that was far from the truth . She was mad at me for saying what I did, and she did nothing about it besides giving me a gift card that was less than what I spent on the worst food I ever experienced. I will never give them another chance and if you do, you will see what I’m talking about. She just did not want to admit what happened and cover-up anything they did wrong. Maybe if they get new management and get somebody that knows what they’re doing they might become a good restaurant again, but I won’t get my hopes up. I recommend everybody and all that have had problems with taco treat recently to call and report them. This has gone on way too long!

Food is usually good, but the employee who helped me showed a great deal of disdain and sighed audibly throughout my order while having to help me. It’s ok to hate your job but no need to take it out on the public…
