I live in Atlanta but have family out here and Taco Treat is a staple of visiting LA! I’ve been going since I was a kid and love it. I always get the bean and cheese burritos and man, I don’t know how to even describe the flavor but it’s always amazing. Maybe nostalgia, maybe the food, but I always enjoy it. We showed up close to closing time due to when our flight got in, but the server was very friendly and not annoyed with us coming so late. I hadn’t tried their hot sauce before but I did this time and I loved the flavor of it. Wasn’t able to finish my burritos but I ate one later and even cold it was still delicious.

American Mexican food that has been here since my childhood. The burritos are deep fried with meat and cheese in them only. I also got the meat quesadilla which is their ground beef. Portions for the quesadilla are giant and they don’t skimp on ingredients. Chili fries are good as well and can also be purchased individually (contains beef, beans, and pieces of tomato).

Here’s how to get a five star experience from TT. Spark a fat doober before you go. Order the bean and cheese burrito. It’s huge, and it’s cheap. You’ll get the most bang for your buck. Don’t bother with anything other than the bean and cheese burrito. Order a bunch of salsa. I really like a lot of it.don’t forget the side of jalapeños, it’ll ruin everything if you forget the side of jalapeños. Five star experience, guaranteed.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now, and I finally got the chance today. I was surprised to find that the bean burrito was deep-fried, I didn’t think I was going to like it. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. I’m even more curious to try out the other items on the menu.

Love this local Gem. It’s timeless and a little nostalgic. My hubby has been going here since high school. The fare here is delicious. The burritos are crunchy and flaky chimichangas. They’re perfect! The Taco Burger is huge and delicious. The tacos are large and delicious. The burger was great. And their fries are perfect. They are quick and efficient with excellent customer service and yummy food at excellent prices. It’s a delicious value. If you haven’t been here you’re missing out! We’re literally here several times a month.

I double check the menu and I was trying to see if they claim to make Mexican food. Because it’s not Mexican food they serve here, it’s definitely El Paso brand-style American Mexican food. And for that, it’s pretty great. The Ant wanted me to pick up some burritos and so I did , lured in by the Monday Tuesday special on hard shell taco and a tostada. When I got the burritos, I did not recognize them. Because they’re deep fried. Yes deep fried. Once I got over my shock and had a bite I thought they were pretty outstanding, although I never would have bought them if I knew and they were deep fried I enjoyed them. If there was ground beef in there they would have been one of the best flautas I ever had.The tostada was really good too , heaping with extra onions I asked for. There was too much cheese but didn’t ask for like cheese so that’s really on me. The hard shell Taco was unremarkable, Workmanlike. I was charmed by the style of the place is very mid 70s or even earlier, by the fact that they are a family run place. Next time I want to try their hamburger.

Just bought 4 meat/bean/cheese burritos. The absolute BOMB! These are made and rolled fresh to order. No gimmicks! If you want a bomb chimichanga style burrito, then the drive here is worth it. This place has been serving these hand held gems since 1952!
