Tacoma’s No1 Fried Rice and Sushi was established in 1996 by us John and In Kim (owners). Although there have been previous names such as King’s Deli and King’s Wok and Teriyaki. We revised our restaurant name due to a customer who indicated “You have the best fried rice in Tacoma.” Immediately after this, we changed our name to Tacoma’s No.1 Fried Rice. In 2021, due to the generosity of the previous owner, we were able to buy the building and expand our kitchen area over 1200sqft. We will continuously strive to provide a clean environment for our customers. In conjunction with the expansion of the restaurant premises, we were able to expand new menu items such as Sushi to provide a diverse range of options for our customers.

I was in Tacoma for work and this place happened to be nearby and very convenient. They have a small parking lot but there’s also street parking. It’s a good size restaurant but it’s not huge. The sign “Tacoma’s No1 Fried Rice” caught our attention. But also, it was recommended by some co-workers. When you walk from the parking lot, immediately you can smell the food coming from the restaurant. Smells so good.

This place not only has the best fried rice, but they have the best food overall! Chicken wings are a big must, and sushi and sashimi are off the wall! Food came out super quickly and super fresh, amazing service and delicious food. Portion size is huge too!

Everything we ordered was delicious. We had sushi, fried rice, chicken wings, poke salad, and the portion sizes were so big we ended up taking 3 full takeout trays home with us. I can’t wait to come back here, 10000/10 experience.

The best food around. The portion sizes are large and the prices are perfect. The food always tastes absolutely amazing, the day you get it or the next day for left overs. The service was very fast and the staff was extremely nice. The interior looks beautiful as well. Definitely worth a stop in to grab some food.

So my brother and I went here for the first time and more than likely the last. We always heard good things about this place and decided to give it a try, we ordered the Beef fried rice. But the beef looked inedible, as it was grey and smelled like fish. NO ONE in my household was brave enough to eat it in fear they would get sick. This is absolutely unacceptable for calling yourselves Tacoma number 1 Fried rice. Pitiful. (see picture)

I had a tough time getting my tap to pay to work and it was right at closing. Needless to say I was panicking a little, but the cashier was amazing and more than understanding/helpful & we got the situation figured out! A1 customer service!!!!

If you want to get the best bang for your buck, go here. I never leave reviews but this place was way too good not to. The house special fried chicken was the best. Portion size for fried rice was so big. The hot night sushi roll was amazing.

We’ve always wanted to try this place, especially I love her Chinese food, and this place claims to be the number one fried rice in Tacoma. The name lived up to our experience. The food was great, very large portions, and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend will be coming back here very soon.
