Since returning from a business trip to Mexico City, I’ve been wanting tacos. Tacombi is conveniently located on a busy Austin street, so we decided to give it a try during the weekend. Surprisingly, the crowd is light on Easter Sunday, which is excellent for us. The service is precise and fast. We shared a few tacos and a tostada, and everything was perfectly seasoned and tasty. Excellent for a quick snack while shopping on Austin Street.

Tacos are tiny for $6 to $7 each. Pretty good but not worth the cost. Drinks are weak. Menu items limited. Portions tiny. The place is usually empty. I won’t be back because I can get better tacos for half the cost. I think they need to bring the cost way down if they want to generate business.

I absolutely loved this place. The tacos/burritos we had were all delicious. The corn esquites appetizer was to die for! It is pricey for the portion sizes but I honestly think it’s worth it for the taste. I would love to come back for happy hour so my wallet doesn’t take such a hit Staff was also very friendly and food came out super quick. Highly recommend!

Tacos were just as good here as the ones in the city. I love my baja fish and the birria were out of this world. Their drinks are great too, specifically the horchata and the pineapple water. My partner was not crazy about the Carnitas though. I also do recommend the sweet potato with beans it is a little spicy. I love this place so much and I’m glad that there is one in Queens

Takeout was quick, pictured is the baja crispy fish and the al pastor taco. Not pictured is the corn esquites which were suprisingly the best of the three purchases. The tacos were underwhelming especially the fish since there was no sliced red cabbage as advertised. It felt like there was no care or thought in making these tacos.
