Another of my favorite Mexican restaurants as far as their food. My favorite are the barbacoa loaded fries and my daughter’s are the asada tacos. Today our food had generous amounts of meat which I liked.

First of all, let me say i appreciate the hand made tortillas, that is not to be taken lightly when talking about tacos, however everything else is lackluster and a detriment to my rating. To begin with, the meat was too salty, sometimes this situation can be handled with adding a bunch of lime of more salsa, but they give you a joke of a piece of lime and no side salsa. You know how most real taquerias allow you to help yourself to lime or salsa, well not here. The seating is also lacking in that the tables wobble like no other, i would adjust them in exchange for free tacos, but i wont be coming back with how many options there are in Salinas. Alternatives, Volcan, Dos potrillos, grullense, even Super Taqueria is better.

Definitely the best Mexican food in town. Ive been there many times since they opened, the taste and freshness is always consistent. There are a few negative reviews on here and everyone has their opinion. However, the best thing to do is try it for yourself and be your own judge. Thank you Tony, Izak and the crew for always making sure the customers always have great tasting food as well as taking care of the customers.

Good burritos. I’ve been to Tacos Don Beto twice over the past few months. It’s a 1 minute walk from my office and I’ve seen colleagues there numerous times as I walk to and from th courthouse. Everyone seems to like it. It’s a nice, sunny, clean restaurant with quick service.

Chicken tacos had very little meat, but a lot of salsa and green peppers. Salsas overtook the flavor of the whole taco. This is better than the Subway that used to be close to here.

Homemade tortillas is the name of the game at this place! I have had tacos, burritos, blue zone food, yes I said blue zone!! Everything here is excellent! I just wish that they had better hours of operation. Aside from that this is a must try place!

I ordered a carne asada taco, a pollo taco, & rice and beans and it was all fantastic. This was definitely the best carne asada I’ve ever had! The meat was perfectly seasoned and very lean. I also have a gluten allergy and love that they have gluten free tortillas upon request. The staff were so nice & understanding with all of the food allergy questions I had, which means a lot to me. I cant wait to come back & eat here again :).

Super fresh. Super delicious. Nice menu that is not overwhelming. They do a select number of items really well. What more could you ask for in a restaurant? Staff are very friendly and prices are reasonable. Dining areas inside and out are clean and well lit. You will enjoy your time and your food. Give this new downtown spot a try. You won’t regret it! And get the corn too!!

Home-made tortillas, I bit over priced. I ordered tacos de asada, fish and shrimp. The asada tacos came as a combo with rice and beans. The ratio from tortilla to meat was off, had very little meat. The rice was a bit blan and beans tasted burnt. The fish taco was a thin slice of white fish. The shrimp had ok seasoning. Friendly staff and good customer service. Not the best tacos in Salinas, maybe for the area. I would take the drive to the east side for less expensive tacos and better tasting. Mas tortilla que nada.
