My husband and I eat A LOT of tacos and listen, these are 100% the best tacos in Charlotte. There are a lot of good taco places but Sammy makes the best. There is only one taco place on the east coast that I’d be willing to stand and wait in 95 degree heat in a stinky gas station parking lot for and it’s Sammy’s. Every time.

$47 for 11 tacos and an order of wings?!?! The tacos sizing is small and they don’t even double tortillas?!?! No sauces were given as well.. The wing were also small they at least tasted decent, cant say the same about the tacos. On top of that it took 45 mins to an hour just to get served when there was only one other person who ordered ahead of us. I don’t recommend coming here. There are lots of other taco trucks tastier, cheaper and they won’t keep you waiting

Authentic flavor. Got the carne asada tacos and they were pretty good. Pricing a little high but everything is nowa days. Location is very busy being in a gas station parking lot, right off highway 85.

I drive all around Charlotte for work, and I am always on the lookout for a great taco truck. Tacos Don Sammy did not disappoint. Carne asada and pastor were both excellent. I will ne going back.

I am heartbroken about the turn out of my last visit.I love Tacos Don Sammy but my most recent purchase turned out to be a horrible experience. Not only was I double charged, I found a piece of hair in my food when it was half way chewed up in my mouth. I thought it was a stringy piece of lettuce but discovered it was a strand of hair. I returned to inform them and was completely discarded. The girl didn’t speak Spanish and the guy she called yelling that he was not there and to return later. 🙁

I was waiting to pick up my wife from the airport and decided to try Tacos Don Sammy around 9:30pm based on the positive reviews and there is only fast food around the airport. The food truck is located in the parking lot of a gas station. I assume it was Sammy who helped me. He was a very very nice man. I ordered 3 campechano tacos and 3 carne asada tacos. BEST TACOS I HAVE HAD IN CHARLOTTE! This is now my go to place any time I am in the area! Thank you Sammy!

My husband and I were looking forward to eating here but the food isn’t what it use to be. Half of it was burnt and gross it ruined the whole meal. The take out became a complete waste of money. Then today we found charges on our card were made by this place. We were able to find out it was them bet they didnt see that coming. I’m digusted that they would operate like that or do something like that to a costumer. We’ve reported and they are lucky we didn’t press charges. I would give negative stars if I could. They need to just do better or get a second job so they don’t have to steal people’s hard earned money. Despicable.

Great food. The $3 street style tacos are delicious I got the pork. They do a pretty good Philly lots of meat for $13. The burritos are huge. They make them with mushrooms if you like them that way.
