What a great place to experience another cultures cuisine! Foods was fresh, delicious, filling and plenty. Service was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was small but enjoyable. A bit pricy but after eating it was worth it. Love this place. We will be back. Thank you.

Man oh man.. hand-made tortillas are fire… the red sauce is great.. got some heat but worth it. The green is perfect.. not too hot but enough kick to know it’s there. The guac sauce is a bit runny but still good. The meat (al pastor) was crispy but not dry, and it was the perfect amount of flavor.. no salt needed.. the combination of flavors are just worth the detour if your off I44.. 2.99 Per taco are definitely worth it. The tacos are full size. Not the mini tacos we are use to. Plenty of meat per taco and onion and cilantro are fresh as well.. not to mention the cucumber-lime and other drinks they make fresh every day… I travel a lot and this is worth coming to if you want great tacos..

I had the enchiladas plate, cheese dip and Coca-Cola, everything was deliciosas. This is a small restaurant but big on flavor and prices are relatively cheap. Highly recommended

An amazing small taco place that serves amazing things beyond tacos. I highly recommend the birria and barbacoa tacos with grilled onions and no cilantro. Their tamales are amazing as well. They aim to please and they have a frequent visitors punch card. ❤️❤️❤️

Hope for today Generation
I love Taco El Gordo, the times I have went they treated me like family. Everyone is so friendly, even the owner. The food is first class, so don’t judge the place from the outside. The meats they serve in the food is unlike anything I’ve tasted. It taste like they butchered and prepared the meats fresh that day. I’m addicted to this place and need to increase my budget so I can eat here everyday. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, it’s a well kept secret spot.

The smell alone is amazing when you pull in their parking lot!! I ordered a California Burrito with carne asada. Most of the meat was chopped extremely small almost like ground beef. It was tasty though! Came with french fries inside the burrito like a true California Burrito should. It was a lot smaller than burritos at other shops around Springfield. I had their avocado salsa to go with it. Not spicy at all. It was a little pricey in my opinion. I ordered a California burrito and a large Pineapple water and spent $16 and some change.
