This place is the best! They have the greatest street tacos in Olathe and some of the best horchata I’ve ever tried! We are fans of their Al Pastor tacos, I’m partial to the Verde salsa but my husband who prefers more spice likes their Roja. Both are flavorful and delicious compliments to the food! We’ve also tried the quesadillas which are good, but we always come back for the tacos!

Yes! So glad I stopped in! Tacos El Viejon is the real deal, with fresh topping bar on-site and great atmosphere. I started with pork and chorizo tacos and will come back for chicken and other protein options next time. Fresh guac was the perfect side for the fresh chips with a Doritos-like dusting. Friendly staff, and not surprisingly, the line was near the door when I arrived for lunch. Bringing the whole crew back soon!

The food has no flavor. Tortilla is hard and dry. Way overpriced. Horchata was eight dollars for a cup. Extremely sweet!! will not be coming back to this place.

Clean, colorful and gorgeous woodwork! The food is authentic and not greasy. Margaritas were solid! I loved the guacamole and the shrimp fajitas were cooked with the perfect amount of spice! After a very challenging day at the courthouse, this restaurant filled my belly and my heart

If you like tacos, this may be your place. We went there before we went to a car show and I was surprised they did not have enchiladas. We had tacos al pastor. They were good. I may have rated them higher but their menu is limited. Also no fountain drinks. Had to drink coke from a bottle, no Dr. Pepper, no free refills. Probably will not be returning.

Saw their reviews and was excited to try them. Quite possibly the worst taco I have ever had. Beef was cold, dry, unseasoned and rubbery. I wouldn’t wish this taco on my worst enemy. One star for the chips. They were at least edible. There are much better options for tacos in Olathe. Don’t believe the hype.

At 2 PM on a Tuesday, staff was the only people in the restaurant. I ordered 4 Tacos (to go). There wasn’t an obvious special for Taco Tuesday – so I paid regular menu price.

Authentic Mexican Food. Prices were good. Was able to get 2 tacos for around $5. You order then take a number to have your order delivered. I wasn’t asked if I wanted any sides, options or enhancements. No table service and I didn’t see a self service water station. My beef and chicken were dry. Tortillas tasted homemade. Yum. Nice ambiance and decor.

Loved when the taco truck was there the stand alone restaurant not so much. The lady waiting and running the cashier waived us over to order which is fine. There are no chips, those are an extra $5.68 for a small basket half full of chips. There is a salsa bar but nothing to put any salsa into and no silverware. Had to ask for all of it from the nicer bartender. The food was good but the service makes me not want to go back. Girlfriend had three pastor tacos on flour (better buy than the corn) I had a burrito and we both had the beer and the chips. The total was almost $60 for that. we have found their places that value us as customers. I guess this is why it wasn’t busy at 6 when we got there.

Had this place when it was just a food truck and they had amazing street taco’s. They now have the food truck and the restaurant, and the food is just as good. I usually order the asada tacos, and they are soo good.
