Truck Driving Shawty
Despite some mixed reviews I’d seen, my visit to Tacos El Zarape was nothing short of excellent. I was pleasantly surprised by their attentive service and the quality of their dishes. I ordered the trio fajitas and the patron mango margarita they were both flavorful and the food was cooked to perfection. Don’t be swayed by any negative feedback; give this place a try and judge for yourself. I’m certainly glad I did!

Server was really sweet. I got my food to go and waited at a table outside with my dogs and had a beer while I waited. The nachos were good, but the salsa I got to go was delicious and had a good bite. I wish I would have known because I would have asked for another. The menu was huge so I might try it again. The place is tucked behind a truck stop so lots of truckers dining in.

The “caldo de res”,”beef stew” is from another planet. I haven’t had that good of a soup for years, its a REAL soup with fresh meat and veggies. Also got “Lingua super burrito” that was melting in my mouth. First time here,but this place made it to my favorite restaurant list. Definitely will stop there again

I travel the USA a lot, but anytime I come into Oregon I stop here at El Zarape to eat some authentic Mexican cuisine. It is a restaurant located next to the Pilot truck stop. I highly recommend this restaurant because good Mexican food outside of California is hard to find. And it also has casino slots, a sports bar and entertaining televisions to enjoy sports.

So I’ve ordered from this restaurant before. And have never had such horrible service. But I ordered 2 tostadas with rice and beans and a soda. Which all came up to $20 But I just thought hey maybe their prices went up Then I get home to find 2 soggy tostadas. Pretty upset will not return

We ate in the bar area and had the MOST AMAZING server and the food and people (other diners) were so awesome. It was very welcoming and a really warm environment to hang out in. They have a other dining area for families if u have children. Food was delicious. Service was outstanding. We really enjoyed our time there. My daughter and I ordered drinks with our dinner and the drinks were amazing as well! Very great experience here.

Great place! Nice folks! Definitely going back. Plenty of seating inside or out on the patio. Plenty of parking and easy on/off of the freeway. There’s a filling station right next door if you need fuel as well. Traditional Mexican food and it is delicious. There’s a full bar and even a gambling area. The chips and salsa are brought out with the menu and a smile. The server was fun and checked on us regularly but not overly. Wonderful experience.

Quality of food isn’t as good as I thought. The salsa that comes with the chips smells funky and tastes like it will give you a stomach ache. I’d look for another place to eat if I were you. Great place to get a beer though.

I’m sorry to say this but the food was horrible. My husband and I came here . He ordered tacos the meat was dry and had no flavor I even tried a bite of it and it definitely didn’t have flavor and dry. I got chicken quessida. The cheese wasn’t melted, the chicken was very dry and had no flavor. The server wasn’t dressed professionally, had bra showing we found it inappropriate. The server didn’t ask us how the food was until we paid . My husband told her about our food and she just laughed it’s not funny when u have customers complaining about the food and it was rude and unprofessional. The owner though was nice when we told him about the food sense the owner also asked about how the food was . The owner apologized and said he will let them know. Now that’s professional. We also waited for 10 min for our ticket. The server also gave us dirty looks that’s unprofessional and rude. Also the place wasn’t clean, there was dust on the lamps and it can get on to your food, the ceiling was dirty and the windows were dirty. The menus are dirty. Could be cleaner.
