Stopped by after a bike ride for a bacon breakfast burrito (BBB) to go, sub potatoes for rice. It was lunchtime and the tiny place was PACKED with construction workers from all the different projects going on in the vicinity, so it must be pretty good.

The tacos were delicious and I overate because I wanted to try everything. The tacos el pastor and carne asada were very flavorful but I also was delighted with the cabeza, lengua & buche. They have a good selection of Mexican sodas but the horchata is exceptionally good and shouldn’t be missed.

I had Tacos Garay cater my wedding this past Saturday and I can’t say enough good things about them! I feel like I found a perfect little hidden gem. They were willing to work with me on what I needed, and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. I even heard that one of my guests said it was the best wedding food they have had! They make the most amazing shrimp tacos (we also had beef and chicken but the shrimp was such a huge hit) and they are just a nice little family owned business! They prepared everything for us buffet style and we picked it up! If I ever need catering again I will go here. And I will definitely be a loyal customer here from now on because they are amazing!

I’ve eaten here before and although the food wasn’t anything great I had no issues. Recently however I had lunch here and ordered a chicken torta. The chicken did not smell right but not to be a rude customer and refuse it as I should have, I ate half of it and it also didn’t taste right. 30 mins later I had severe diarrhea and stomach pain. DON’T eat bad smelling food, bad tasting food here or anywhere. Refuse it.

These tacos are exactly what you’d expect looking at the pics. Simple and good, a little greasier than I prefer. If you step one foot inside, you’ll smell like a taco for 24 hours. They can’t help that, but nevertheless it will happen.

I’ve been trying a bunch of different taco places recently and this has easily been one of my favorites, if not my favorite. The asada, pastor, and carnitas that I had were all seasoned perfectly and juicy. Other places the meat is too dry or bland. The service and prices are spot on too. I can’t recommend this place enough. Add to it that I can take them to TF Brewing across the street and I’m hard pressed to hit another taco spot.
