Not a bad place to try. I had called a few times to place an order ahead of time without using one of the 3rd party ordering services, doordash etc. I was left on the line while they did other things. First time waited 20 minutes before hanging back and calling back to jut repeat the process. Arrived before anyone took my order so just went in to place an order. They weren’t very polite but got my food pretty quickly. They don’t carry limes at all, never have I been to a Mexican restaurant without limes, she tried to give me lemons repeatedly. Food was pretty good, lots of onions.

Good food but I wasn’t too happy with the queso birria tacos. Everything else on the menu is pretty much like the other La villa places. I only wish they had more than one register because when you pick up a phone order you have to get in line with the people who are waiting to order.

There was a homeless white lady walking around inside touching everything made me loose my appetite hair matted I giot sick to my stomach she wasn’t ordering food she was just sitting inside walking around filthy while customers eat I will never eat there again

Best food in bakerfields. Love this place. We drive on the weekends 100miles to come eat here. I recommend this place to anyone. At first we where kind of iffy about going here because there places looked old from the outside. But we where very impressed with the food. This is our favorite spot in Bakersfield.

The food was good but the service was poor I don’t know if the server was ignoring us but she was talking some other lady and she knew we were waiting to order but she was pretty engaged in conversation with the other lady we waited at least 10 minutes before she took our order. They serve a lot of late night people from the bars in the area and maybe that was reason but I don’t think that you should have to wait that long to take an order for a meal.

This is my second favorite La Villa, after the one on N. Chester. Yesterday I went there for a veggie burrito. Unlike the other La Villa, they put cheese and sour cream on their burritos. I didn’t complain. It was delicious. I’ll just remember to ask them next time not to. There’s always some funny stuff going on around this La Villa location (Union Ave.), so I always like to eat in the dining room to enjoy the show. Thanks to the full spread of windowed walls, you get to watch people disrobing, drug deals (I presume), dogs pooping on sidewalks, people talking to themselves and sometimes even yelling! There’s a stoplight right in front of the restaurant so there’s always a race to see who’s least patient driver and can get to the stoplight first.
