We had a great time tonight at Tad’s on the Rock. It really is a wonderful spot, and the weather was perfect. Elaine took great care of us. The boozy slushies were delicious, and I even ate all my vegetables (olives, onions, and peppers on nachos are vegetables, right?).

We sat outside on the patio next to the Rock River. There was 6 of us. We all had different meals. Once the food was delivered to us, it looked very good. We all enjoyed our food. We will be back. The prices were reasonable.

Patio full of smokers. Made it very uncomfortable to eat. Umbrella wouldn’t tilt to block sun. We’re told it would take over an hour to even get food. Then they were out of food. Service was slow. She was nice. Fried walleye was not good. Overcooked and dry. Not a lot of healthy choices. I wanted something besides a potato side with the fish. It was an up sell charge for a bowl of lettuce, a small slice of tomato and some shredded cheese. Husband like the slaw.

What a Great spot for an outdoor lunch stop! Service was excellent, very attentive time and great recommendations from our server. The outdoor ambiance and the quiet of the waterfront midweek made for a wonderfully relaxing lunch. It was very neat to see boaters dock and come up for lunch as well. The food was very tasty, chicken wonderfully moist, but a “Tad” on the pricey side for what you get ( but then what’s not these days). My only criticism would be that the spinach artichoke dip was a but too thick for the chips and the chips could have been slightly more salty otherwise well worth the stop.

For the past however many years I’ve put my boat in first thing in the morning to go fishing on the river knowing after I’m done I can go pull up to the dock an enjoy a good breakfast. Unfortunately that’s not the case anymore they did away with that. So if you want a decent burger an your on the river it’s a good spot to stop an get a burger an fries.

It was okay. We had burgers and fries. The buns fell apart so much we had to finish eating our burgers with a fork. The outside deck is really nice but the umbrellas are difficult to put up, even out wait person had trouble!

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Tads was very average. The service was a bit slow and I was charged for someone else’s bill, along my own, which wasn’t very pleasant. The patio area is nice, but the whole experience was average.

Great deck and outdoor bar, good burger. Great spot on the river. Reasonably priced. I wish there were no wake buoys north and south of the pier so it would be easier to tie up a boat and not worry about the people flying by.
