Now this place is called Kara Thai. This Place has changed!!!! It use to have bigger portions especially for the crab fried rice! The Short Rib Panang use to come with more short rib &rice included too!!! Now everything is smaller portions and they don’t include rice you must buy separately. Such a disappointment I use to love this place, I wish the original owners never left!

I am incredibly disappointed I ordered fried rice with beef and it came with four pieces of beef. I ordered the red curry and it came with all bamboo and only a few pieces of chicken. I feel bamboozled. The steamed rice was wet and overcooked. We ordered calamari as well and it was literally all batter with only seven pieces of calamari. With these prices that we’re paying I should expect at least some kind of decent portion of protein but this was not the case.

This food was good. But it was just good. The flavors weren’t there for me. Red curry was good but I couldn’t taste those traditional flavors in comparison to other local places. We’ve been on a Thai food search and have tried all the ones around Marina Del Rey. The food was average, there’s simply too much competition. It’s worth a try as everyone’s taste buds are different.

Fantastic Thai food, very thoughtful owners and they’re working hard during COVID-19 to provide the best dining experience possible. Limited patio dining on second floor overlooks surroundings. Authentic enough to pass for real Thai food. Chef also cooks Vietnamese pho and Chinese cusine. Great little place to try.

I ordered here via Uber eats but this place called itself “Vegan Thai Kitchen.” I’m not a fan of existing restaurants making up fake new name in order to disguise their ratings on Google & Yelp. Being a “new” place with no previous ratings & being a supposedly all vegan restaurant. This is a shady practice which is why I’m providing 1 star. If not for this, I would have provided a higher score. I thought the food was decent or average. Portions and price were ok as well.
