I just got takeout from here, but I wish I had eaten at the restaurant. The food was so good, and if you’ve been to Taiwan or lived there, you’ll know it’s spot on! I wish I lived here so I could come back every week!

Visiting from out of town and our Taiwanese friends said this is a must have when in St Louis. Was not disappointed! Felt like I was transported back to Taiwan. We ordered braised pork, popcorn chicken, chitterlings, meatball soup…everything was so so good. Love that they had Taiwanese news playing too.

Unique authentic Taiwanese food, not the standard Americaized versions of Chinese found elsewhere. Food comes out quickly and always very fresh.

Last Thursday, I found myself in St. Louis for work and knew I had to visit Tai Ke for lunch. This Taiwanese restaurant specializes in traditional Taiwanese stir-fry and street food. I was incredibly excited, as Taiwanese cuisine always evokes a sense of nostalgia, reminding me of my time studying in Taiwan.

Best Taiwan food in St. Louis. If you like authentic Chinese this is the place to be. Taiwan is known around the world for having the best food. Highly recommend trying the popcorn chicken, Taiwan beef noodles, and 3 cup chicken if you never had Taiwan food. Absolutely GEM in St. Louis. Hands down the best I’ve had in the US.

I spent a good portion of 2013 living in Taiwan, and Tai Ke takes me back to Kaohsiung every time I come in for dinner. Their dishes are as authentic as it gets, and I haven’t had a single dish that wasn’t amazing. The basil stir fry eggplant is heaven, especially if you get it with some sticky rice cubes, Taiwanese sausage and a Taiwan beer.

This was one of the best new restaurants I have been to in a while. We came an hour before close (I hate being that guy) but the staff was friendly and the food was AMAZING! My partner got some delicious beef noodle soup and I got the sizzling beef tenderloin. The beef was so tender and the sizzling sauce was to die for. On the street snack menu, we got the rice cake with I thought was fine and my partner loved and lastly, my favorite thing was the gua boa. Oh. My. God. I would do anything for a pile of those. I think they might be my new favorite food. (Warning!!! Lots of cilantro) please stop by if you have the chance.

Overall great experience – from the taste/quality of the food, the atmosphere, and how quick the food came out! While the servers were cool, the manager/owner definitely helped make the experience the best – always made sure we had drinks and consistently checking in our experience!

An incredible Taiwanese food experience in St. Louis. The Pork Belly Bun, a popular Taiwanese street snack, was pillowy soft and had the perfect balance of salty, sweet, and savory flavors. However, the $8 price tag felt a bit steep. The Signature Three Cup Chicken is delicious if you don’t mind bone-in chicken. The chicken was very tender and the seasoning is a tasty combination of soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice wine. I cannot wait to come back and try the Shabu Shabu menu.

We ordered the beef hot pot and the three cup chicken. What a fun experience. Just be careful eating the chicken. One of the bones shattered in a piece I had and I found several small bones in each bite. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and very funny. We will definitely be back.
