Delicious, filling, and reasonably priced, the trifecta for perfect everyday food. I’m a huge fan of the Taiwanese fried chicken. The popcorn chicken has a slightly gelatinous mouthfeel, probably thigh meat. The lu rou fan is comforting and energizing. These are food that my Taiwanese aunt would be happy to serve at her own restaurant.

Nicely fried porkchop with some cabbage and a tea egg. There was a bite of an after taste with what appears to be minced meat over the rice. The porkchop and egg were good. If your willing to shell out a few more bucks for a dish that is normally under 2 digits, this is a place to try for Taiwanese food. They kept a circular hole on the cover to keep the fried pork chop from steaming which is a nice feature for a takeout.

The Pork belly bento was good. Can’t taste the marinade in the tea egg but it was nice to have with the meal. There was too much rice and not enough Pork belly so the egg came in handy. The Braised Dikon that I added was good to add as well.

5-stars for the food. Place is a little small and couldn’t seat everyone. Having lived in Taiwan for 15 years, I think the food here is legit.

I haven’t found a Taiwanese place this authentic without any American twist in NYC. Their fried chicken leg bento is amazing, much like the one I had when I was in Taipei. Not a super fancy place but very tasty.

A casual place for authentic Taiwanese rice bowls, including short grain rice with meat sauce, sauteed cabbage, braised egg and protein of choice (fried chiecken legs, braised or fried pork chop, etc). The meat is well-seasoned and flavorful. It is more expensive than the less-than $10 options in China town but you really get what you pay for.
