Even for a historical venue, they still have a delicious menu for any occasion. Be it for a date night, birthday, or just being in the mood for simple French Cuisine with a lovely setting ; it’s your choice. I forgot the name of the lovely waitress but she made it more pleasant and enjoyable for a birthday celebration, and the small things goes along way

Excellent food. The clam chowder was absolutely delicious. Our waiter actually spoke French, pretty authentic place. The crab cakes were really good as well. It’s pretty dark inside which it makes it hard to read the menu.

food gets 4/5, but overall 5/5! This place has the perfect old school feel to it. I feel like I walked straight into the 1960s… The experience is lovely with fresh bread and chatter around you. Although this probably isn’t the best french food i’ve had, I would totally come back here still. I recommend the french onion soup and the apple pear dessert (had a delicious caramel sauce with it). Definitely come support this place !!!

Family owned and founded in 1927 it’s been serving LA diners for generations. I would classify it as a bistro style and is certainly more casual and less expensive than many of the other French restaurants close by. While dining I overheard that there are plans to buy this current location by a developer to add housing and would most likely happen this year or next but I am unsure if that is true or not. They have a giant parking lot to the side and behind of the restaurant so parking is never a problem. The restaurant interior (also the street facing exterior) could use some sprucing up though as it looks like it has been opened for as long as it is.

The best escargot I’ve had since I was a kid in the 1970’s. The whole vibe is old fashioned but that’s a plus to me.

Overall, we had such a great time dining there! The food was delicious and the service was superb. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive (we forgot his name, but he wore a beret). We tried their escargot, which was to die for! We also had their lamb chop and steak and they were cooked perfectly!

Old established French restaurant. You will feel as if the clock moved backwards. You can admire the menu from 1927 and its prices. The seafood chowder is the best and great to share. I can with my friend and we shared the ambience, food, and service. Loved it!
