Good food and service. I was told that the lunch buffet costs $18 during Thursdays and Fridays and $21 during other days. They have enough varieties to fill ones stomach and satisfy the taste buds.

Wow!! I just ate at the Taj Mahal on West Patrick in Frederick and was pleasantly surprised that every item on the buffet was so delicious. The chickpeas were even amazing! Mr. Karki and was very delightful and he ensured that I had a wonderful experience. I love Indian cuisine and this place is my new fav for a quick lunch without a fast food association. I’ll be back (as the Terminator would say). buddhi Chef and Chef Joshi were great as well!!!!

We came for buffet and was good and authentic Indian for sure and also food to go and I can say your quantity is not enough at all. Only need quantity increase by 4 oz and you will notice more people. I would say for vegetarian not much choice. “Promotion needed for people here in Fredrick “specially for buffet. Ur staff very good for service. Last I would say add clove & elaichi for rice flavour. Wish you the best & I will be their again on Thursday. I believe & my cousins you better then CLAY OVEN. Good luck..

I ordered several things. Not even on item turned out as expected. For chat papadi, We requested all the sauces on side, but they mixed everything in one box and made us look very unappetizing. Once I mixed the chat papadi. It tasted horrible. We also lamb seek kabab they tasted the same. It was like they gave us old food and warmed it up and gave it to us. Really horrible. Will not go there again.

This is hands down one of the best Indian Restaurants in Frederick county and in the states. I ordered the butter chicken and samosas, naan and butter paneer. Everything was delicious ! The owner was so welcoming and friendly. The prices were reasonable, the place was clean , and neat. I highly recommend. Sat and Sunday are buffet style. This place is a jewel in Frederick.

This place is amazing!! The food tastes so good, and the spices are warm and spectacular! They had Pani Puri on the buffet, and the waitress made it for us…. twice they were so great. See the picture below. I also photographed most of the buffet. There’s a bit more behind that, and on weekends even more!! The meats are fall-off-the-bone tender, and covered in rich sauces. There are amazing little samosas, and a spicy mango sauce for them. I’m hungry just writing this, as I think of what we ate. 100% going back soon!

Long review – I’m marking everything as “ok” and will update whenever I make it back for another try. I came for the lunch buffet, only to find it’s not available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Their website doesn’t list this but other reviewers have posted the same information, so trust the current reviews – it is only available Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun. I was the only car in the parking lot and the only person in the restaurant which almost sent me on my way but there were so many positive reviews I decided to give it a try. The two people I interacted with were friendly and available when needed but not overbearing. He did say that the vindaloo was spicy and asked if that was ok. I said yes because I like spicy but he was not kidding. This was the spiciest vindaloo I have ever had. I had to take it home and add some coconut milk to be able to eat it. Obviously this is no one’s fault but my own but I’m telling you, the spicy vindaloo is SPICY. I also got a house salad which was a little disappointing but it is what it is. I’m not sure Indian food is known for salads, but the Indian place we frequent in Hagerstown has a salad that I crave so I was hoping for the same. The portion was I feel fair. Large amount of aromatic basmati, medium sized bowl of vindaloo with 4/5 pieces of chicken and 4/5 potatoes in it. Not a huge portion but fair for the price I think. All in all, I love Indian food and as many good reviews as this place has I will absolutely be back to try something else. I appreciate them still treating me as a customer even tho I was the only one there. The food was quick, accurate and definitely flavorful (oy vey! Lol) looking forward to coming back and trying something different, hopefully the buffet!
