Craving Indian food led us to Taj Mahal take out. We placed the order on their website and we were charged $2 convenience fee. In addition, there was a $5 suggested tip for take out as well. Ok. The food was to be ready in 20 minutes according to the website, but it took additional 15 when we arrived for pick up. Not sure why as the place was not that busy. We got a tika masala that came without rice. I just realized it when I came home and didn’t have time to go back to the restaurant. Garlic naan was just a bit on a pricier side, with two of them seeing you back $8.00. My cholay was good but just over salted a bit. Mild was just that, a mild so spicy level was on point. There was no onion chutney to accompany any of the dishes. I saw on their door that a buffet is $18.00, for whoever would be interested in that option. Indoor dining and plenty of parking.

The food was excellent and authentic. I had the Chicken Rogan Josh (5) and my companion had the Chicken Tikka Masala(4). Their spice level goes from 1-6. We also ordered the Aloo Paratha–which is a Naan bread stuffed with potato. Trust me you will want it to dip in the sauce from your main dish. Food was all great. If you haven’t ate Indian food before go with the Chicken Tikka Masala it is perfect. If you love the heat, I thought I could have gone with a 6 on my order and would have been fine. However, order your food ahead of time! I had to give the service a 1 star because it took over an hour for us to get our food and we got there around 6:40, so it was already getting later in the evening. Not sure what happened in the kitchen, but it was frustrating. The quality and price per food was amazing. I will probably order my food to go next time.

First time in. Chicken Curry was an explosion of flavor. Absolutely delicious. Drinks were constantly filled. The only downside is it was way too hot inside the building. Would recommend the lamb curry as well.

Ive always wanted to try this restaurant. Finally I checked this place out for my birthday. We were seated promptly and our orders were taken. I ordered the lamb with shrimp curry. I ordered it with the level 5 heat. The heat wasn’t crazy. I love spicy food and should have went with the level 6. The heat level is probably 2 numbers below the rating. So my level 5 was more like a 3. The lamb was very tender and the shrimp had a nice bite. The curry was very flavorful and complimented the lamb with each bite. Combined with the rice, you will definitely have some food to take home.

If you love Indian food OR want to try Indian food, visit Taj Mahal!! While the atmosphere could be more polished, the food and service is excellent! The spice level is customized to order and was done accordingly for all of our group of 6. Chicken Kadai was best I ever had. Ask for a drink menu, the Indian beer was great!

Ate here a few times, each time as take a away. It’s average for Indian food. Korma was average and chicken tikka Masala had oil layer on top all times, very heavy. Naan was good, light and buttery. Rice was average. Atmosphere was dark and not well kept.

Came for dinner – ordered the Lamb & Shrimp Curry, spice level 4. Flavors were great, and the heat level was decent. (Note: if this is a 4, I can see why items off the lunch buffet might be way too mild for some reviewers’ tastes). As others have mentioned, the service was great.
