This is by far the best Indian restaurant in that St Louis area that I have had the pleasure of dine at. The service is top notch, the food is fantastic. Don’t let the table setting fool you, it is casual dining, but the have nice table setting and cloth linen. This is a great date place, friends get together, and family dining place.

Love this place so much! I have a group of coworkers that can be hard to eat with, some are strictly vegan and some barely eat any vegetables at all. But this place has everything we all need and it’s delicious. Will keep coming back for sure!

Food was good but service was poor. We had 3 couples and The waiter Insisted on putting everything on one bill because he said it was easier on him as he wrote our order on a post it note. we all had separate appetizers and separate bread orders. He brought two appetizers out on the same plate and two of our bread orders were in the same basket. Then after we ate he was very insistent for one of the ladies to pass him the dishes. I asked if he minded cleaning up after we left and he said the table just looked messy and he wanted to bus it while we were still seated. So I was not happy with him at all. And they automatically added 20% gratuity to the bill and I didn’t feel he deserved that. Not to mention the bill wasn’t itemized so we had no ideal how much each couple spent and some absolutely spent more but we ended up having to split the bill evenly 3 ways because it was “easier” for him to just put everything on one bill. Definitely will not be going back

Had the Chicken Tikka Masala. I try it at nearly every Indian restaurant I visit. The Tikka Masala here wasn’t my favorite. It seemed creamier than I like it, and with less kick than I prefer. Another in my party had the Chicken Biryani, also less flavor than I prefer. The vegetable samosa was excellent! I would try the Tandoori next time and see what that is like.

Great buffet. I went during lunch hours so everything was fresh and hot. Service was pretty quick to take your plate and refill your drink. One disappointment was their nan bread. It was somewhat crumbly and rather bland but the dishes that you pile on top of it we’re spectacular. Definitely visiting again next time I’m in town.

Taj Palace is an outstanding restaurant. The Indian Cuisine is Phenomenal. I ordered the Masala Naan Bread (Naan Bread stuffed with cheese, onion, spinach and cilantro), Chicken Korma, and Lamb Tikka Masala. This was my first time trying Masala Naan Bread and the flavor was amazing. I ordered the two entrees with medium heat, that is the perfect spice level if you enjoy a moderate amount of heat. Both meals were delicious and the customer service was great. If you enjoy Indian Cuisine you will be very pleased to try Taj Palace.

Lunch doesn’t have the buffet since covid but the best is to order Alacarte – egg vindaloo, mint kofta curry, paneer Burji curry, mint chicken, samosa, paneer pakora are just beyond tasty and most delicious in all of saint louis! Food is made fresh, less oily and spices are adjusted as per your request. A must go for a Indian food lover! Chicken wings , unusual place to order this dish but delicious!
